Post his fight night weight? Please. He was probably the same weight as G.

Why does Canelo the "complete" fighter don't know anything about offence? He's a good counter-puncher but he's gdamn awful hunting down boxers. Like even Conor had better success than Canelo against Mayweather.
Also, why this this complete boxer of yours lack stamina to go non-stop for 12 rds? If he had that stamina he would have beaten GGG by sticking to the centre of the ring like in the first two rounds which he won.

Back to the GGG vs Canelo as to who is a more complete fighter? Are you ****ing kidding me? GGG can work defence on the back-foot(Which he rarely has to do- If he did this to Canelo he would have won by a much larger margin btw) and he's perhaps the most devastating boxer/puncher of the past 3 decades.

Wow fair play CST80 that's some list you compiled there but you do know don't you that you're dealing with guys like Shadow who I've the upmost respect for as I honestly think he believes it when he says the Floyd v Canelo draw was possible to arrive at lol.
No I think it's clear that the majority all had Golovkin winning either pretty wide or by a round or two and let's have it right there's a big difference between running and what Floyd Mayweather did in a boxing ring.
So funny to though to hear arguments for Canelo about eye catching shots and yet these same guys just couldn't give Kovalev even that against Ward could they, never mind the knockdown,I believe this is what they call double standards no?

    1) I never said he was an ATG. He'll make the HoF but that's not an ATG. He'd have to beat Ward to become ATG or similar.

    2) Where do you have Golovkin/Canelo p4p? If your top 3 is Ward, Crawford, Lomachenko then fair enough.

    3) I'm not sure Canelo is the smaller guy weight-wise, I'd be very surprised if Golovkin weighed more.

    4) Hype-job implies that the fighter is not elite. Golovkin is elite. What you are saying is that he is overrated. No legit top 10 p4p fighter is a hype-job.

    5) I never said GGG schooled Canelo. Floyd did. I think GGG won but def. not a schooling, I object to that term applied to the fight. Likewise I object to those who said Canelo schooled GGG, incl a certain A. Byrd.

    6) Do remember that GGG is 35 and has a ton of fights plus a style that does not age well. He used to be better, not a lot better, but boxing is a sport of fine margins too.

    7) GGG's jab did quite well, it was a more significant factor than Canelo's jabs.

I'm joking pal,Canelo has always been a short stocky middleweight but some seem to think he's like some unnatural entity that just keeps on growing at 27 yr old

its a shame it's taken so long for him to get big fights,I'd rather see a Golovkin full of PEDs and a few years younger personally but hey this is Box.

Lmao. Rewatch the fight. Nelos combinations were far more accurate and effective especially in rounds 10,11 and 12. Stamina is the only case you made in this post that was valid but he was never in any real danger. He was cool, calm composed the whole time. Even clowned g at times. He also has better feints. Stop clowning dude. Canelo would put Connor in a coma.

I see you never decided to go with the Canelo has no offence, defence... because quite frankly there is nothing to defend. Thanks for the chat.

Your score is atrocious though! Despite matching up pretty well with the general consensus. This guy is a rabid foaming out the mouth hater.

You're saying Canelo has no offense or defense especially after watching this Saturday? If so you're an idiot.

Why even bring Floyd into this? Triple G will NEVER be that level of fighter. Floyd will go down as one of the greatest ever. Triple G will not. Heck if Triple G faces Jacobs and Canelo again he probably loses his next two fights. Jacobs will beat him for sure. And I'd say there is a 90% chance Canelo will beat in a rematch. Triple G only look good fighting guys like Martin Murray.

Floyd is leagues above anything Triple G ever will be. So leave Floyd name out of it.

I think you've made some very good points and re Canelos elusive approach, only an idiot would stand and trade with a guy who can take your biggest bombs and keep on coming,I'm not sure why you feel the need to defend Canelo as if all the worlds hating on him or something,he put on a fabulous display of boxing, had the eye catching shots and yet still fell short in 99% of everyone inc the media who saw the fight but judging aside it doesn't take away what Canelo did that night does it?
So my question to you is if you're in the 1% who feel Canelo did enough to win,why do you feel the need to tell everyone how much better Canelo is?
