Tough luck, you have to have a deadline on it. Canelo probably wanted a 3-fight-deal like Kovalev-Ward. Agree to a fight when Golovkin turns 35 and a bit older, and make more money in those three fights before being in a risky fight like this.

I would celebrate when Canelo relinquishes the WBC title. I want GGG to have all the belts. When Canelo eventually moves up because his body can't handle it anymore, he will meet Golovkin as a challenger, and will hope and pray that Golovkin has slowed down in that time.

It would be a fight Canelo will take in 3 years when Golovkin has slipped.
