Absolutely disgusting. The fans have to crush Canelo/GBP on this one.

Boxing fans need to hit them were it hurts, their purses and stop paying for mismatches, but I bet people will still buy GBP's next PPV event. We're screwing ourselves, lining the pockets of these con artists. DLH has the gall to still try and fool us with us his chicanery, "Deadlines.." and Canelo, "I have decided to fight GGG, but will vacate the fight", all said with straight faces.

The sport will move on whether Canelo wants to fight or not. Why do you care it's not like you're buying Canelo PPV's anyway

In Mexico we don’t fight for rings or stuff like that.

Fat Dan is getting destroyed on twitter for calling Canelo the champ even after he vacates the title.

Why is Dan riding Delahoya's ***** so much?

This is the problem with most boxing 'journalists'. They are so damn biased towards one boxer over another. Fat Dan making all of us look bad on this one.

It was the right thing to do (AT LAST) since we know he wasn't gonna fight Golovkin anyway. He'll have no problem getting a title fight at 154.

The right thing to do was to fight GGG at 160lb for the WBC and Lineal title at 160lb. What he did was decidedly NOT the right thing to do. I will never call a boxer a coward, but I'll certainly say that the perception is that they look like cowards when they pull moves like this.

Well yeah agreed, he never had any business at middleweight to begin with. I'm okay with him vacating though, he'll be branded a coward for the rest of his career, it's not like he's gonna get off easy for doing this.

And this is what irritates me. I actually enjoy watching Canelo, but this move makes me disappointed that, based on the established rules for title fights, he (or Team Canelo) feel that he doesn't have enough advantages to fight GGG. And I agree with you that his legacy will be tainted by today's actions. In the end, I just wanted to see two top boxers square off on each other for a prestigious title.
