    If he knew his place, he wouldn't be the dominant champion. I applaud him for not giving in to diva's wishes.

    Golovkin should say "fиck Canelo", go fight Jacobs and BJS and become an undisputed champion which has been his goal.

    I doubt that. I'm sure GGG's team would have taken 70-30 (a fair split imo) with both hands.

    If it comes out that GGG demanded 55-45, then I will criticize him. But I haven't seen any proof to that, his team said that as long as the weight is 160, everything else is negotiable.

    The WBC actually ditched the 55-45 split last year for interim champs, almost certainly for Canelo's benefit. Purse bid would've been same as any mando, 10% to winner with remainder split 70-30.

    Division of Proceeds in a Purse Offer. The net purse offer (after deduction of all sanction
    fees payable to the WBC hereunder) shall be divided as follows:

    (a) first, 10% of the total shall be set aside as a bonus for the winner of the contest,
    then, of the remainder,
    (b) 70% of the remaining 90% shall be for the champion and 30% of the remaining
    90% shall be for the challenger in title bouts; and
    (c) 50% of the remaining 90% to each contender in the case of vacant titles or
    elimination bouts;

    This is EXACTLY what I was thinking.... was just making sure no one else stated the obvious before commenting, I had wondered how he was going to try and force the catch weight. What a ***** move!

    So many said he would vacate. Can't quite believe he is giving up the belt to make the fight at 155.

    Might as well make a rematch with Khan, Hatton or Rhodes

    Ggg will have to fight canelo on his terms or this fight won't happen ggg will be forced to move up or stay in a dead division.
