I can sort of agree with this. Jacobs has better stamina and better defense than Taylor. I just wish he would stop with all of that switch hitting. He can't fight properly out of a southpaw stance.
There never was a good boxer, ever. There all untalented losers and bums(except Tyson, he was the man in nintendo's punchout). but tell me, have you tought about what youre expecting and wanting from boxing and fighters? You want one to captivate your imagination like the one's of you're tender did. Grow up and appreciate the show, that division most of all. Because perfect boys have the most boring and fraudulous careers, best of all there open to such critics because they fought each other. All of the names in you're post are what makes boxing great, aside from Stevenson.
El Pollo is overrated! Golovkin beat his arse, even when he owned the referee, boxing commission and judges............................
Canelo put up a pretty good fight. Time for you to admit it or continue to look like the fool you really are.
Jacobs imo weighed more than your stating. I'd expect him to weigh 7lb more fight night if he weighed in for the IBF. Kov don't punch like GGG either imo. I don't think Canelo's small either, he's just short, hes stockier than GGG blatantly ! With his amateur record and his pro record being what it is, hes anything but hype !
The division has been somewhat a void for a while but Canelo's addition and Jacob's comeback along with Golovkin's reign do spice up MW nicely. I actually think that MW is at it's best and/or most interesting in the last several years with some younger/fresher depth to the middle of the top 10 for sure right now. Anyways, Canelo and Golovkin are both top 10 P4P fighters, so the thread starter isn't right here even if I can see and/or agree to smaller extents with what he's saying. Blame the state of the top tier of boxing as a whole right now if you want to go that angle of showcasing that it's not impressive for Canelo/Golovkin to be the two most talked about active boxers right now. But they are both certainly great fighters.
Does it matter what he weighed in at in the ring? The facts are he made the weight fair and square, there's no good crying about it after the fight is there and that's coming from a big Golovkin fan.
I can see why people might think GGG and Canelo are over the rated (not that they're not good, there just is a lot of hype). Not so much with Jacobs though, he doesn't really seem that highly rated.
