I find it to be an overly bold move myself.

If this fight happens, no one can question them ballz of steel. Its intriguing, and a win win situation for Canelo.

I think he is underestimating Kovalev!! That dude is going to possibly soften his chin up ala Fernando Vargas

They will make Kov drain hinself down to a match stick. Sergey probably realises he's closer to the end and is desperate for at least one real big pay day.

This. Kovalev has been looking iffy lately and he's getting on in years. We'll see in the Yarde fight whether these suspicions are unfounded or not. A good version of Kovalev wipes the floor with both Yarde and Canelo. A crappy version might well lose to both.

That's what I think as well. Draining fighters is a shitty move. Guaranteed that Kova will look like a faint version of himself come fight night.

This is why, until he fights Yarde, and we see what he has left in the tank, I'm not interested at all in a Kov-Canelo bout....all I know is that I wish someone would come along and snuff out the annoying, redheaded sonovabitch.

If the fight happens they obviously have more information about Kovalev's current state and will 100% look to employ a BS rehydration clause. Still doubt it happens though. Kovalev is way too big of a puncher to take a risk with and it's not like he can't box either.

Ive been 5´7 since the second grade, ain´t grown an inch since. However I have been getting heavier on a near yearly basis.
It's not like people stop growing.
Chavez Jr. made his pro debut at 130. Should he have stayed there? Or maybe, just maybe, it's the fact that he was 17 when he turned pro?

Alvarez being a big dude has nothing to do with him juicing. This of course doesn't mean that he isn't juicing.
But him being big isn't proof of him taking steroids. What is, is the fact that he got caught taking em.

Alvarez outgrew Welterweight at 19 and then his next 5 fights were scheduled at 150lbs. However for the fifth fight, Alvarez failed to make weight.
He has always struggled with making weight as well, even at 160.
