i am a fan of his He is a solid fighter but one thing I cant help notice is he doesn't hit hard at all if you look at his size its quite amazing

For me the acid tests were a old mosley and cotto

If he could put either of them down or stop then it would show a lot but in both fights his power was unimpressive

Their are ww's who hit as hard as him or even harder

He is strong and seems to have a good chin but his lack of power may cost him against GGG don't think he can back him up

His Power will increase if he fights in his natural weight class. Everybody can see his drained as hell and weak by doing so...

His success will deteriorate once he truly moves up, just like every other massive weight cutter. I mean look at the Cotto fight. It's been a long time since I saw such a difference in size between 2 fighters who are not heavyweights.

Canelo fights like a robot. The truth is Cotto and Lara beat him clearly.

Strength and power 2 different things, but I think he does have both. As his level of competition has increased, he's learned you can't beat everyone by knocking them out, especially defensive minded fighters like Cotto and Lara that preferred not to engage in toe to toe with Canelo. So no, he's no Julian Jackson, but he still is a very dangerous puncher and if he doesn't hit you cleanly it's still enough power to humble your opponent.

I'm not convinced his chin is that good either. He's barely been touched clean by a puncher.

His power is a solid, but it is a bit concerning that he landed flush shots on Cotto quite often, to little avail.

Pure speculation. In actual fact, power tends to go down as fighters move up as larger opponents can absorb the punches better.

Canelo has above average power. Definitely has enough power to keep anyone honest at least.
