Canelo-Lemieux in May 2019

Should be Canelo-Jacobs. I would have had no problem with him fighting Lemieux in his fight next month.

 

Sorry guys but how is Lemieux relevant to anyone? Can anyone help me understand please? Why isn’t this considered a worse match up than rocky?
And is this the start of canelo mega contract fielding followed by Lemieux? If so wow.
lemieux is the ultimate paper champion, won a vacant ibf middleweight title against a former paper champion about 5 years ago... canelo should be slated if he takes this fight, mandatory or voluntary this fight dosent need to happen, or have I completely got it wrong here? Respect

 

Exactly how can he fight fielding then Lemieux, think that I got it wrong others on here said he would avoid risks now his money is cert, well I disagreed looks like I was very wrong

 

It’s a shame canelo should be hof atg but his legacy is becoming more and more tarnished.

No sorry I didn’t explain properly, not based on potential Lemieux fight.
Based on a series of questions against his resume/legacy.
I don’t agree but have to mention the ggg fights, I think he definatly won the second, the first fight I still can’t decide. But that scorecard was so far off it stinks of corruption, only my opinion.
The tainted meat scandal was embarrassing at the least, made even worse by the length of ban and likleyhood he would of faced ggg on that date anyway.
Then he signs the (apparently) most lucrative deal in boxing history, and his next fight is against fielding followed potentially Lemieux.
Hardly pushing himself? I wouldn’t be bothered but after his mayweather fight I genuinely thought this guy is something special, he is, he’s the most adaptable boxer out there a real talent ....
but these questions remain?

i am not saying he will win. just saying Canelo's style of counterpunching is more suited to Lemieux than Golovkibs attack or Saunders running. odds are Alvarez will stand in the middle of the ring and let Lemieux throw first.
