The point behind this is that he will need to watch his weight during training which could mean he is not training on all cylinders..

Muscles with out water is just as bad as cutting muscle, its also bad on your cardio.

Alvarez is a middleweight fighting at SWW, it is his own fault. If he were the 160lb fighter he should be the catchweight would have been 158 or maybe the fight would not have happened at all. If someone wanted Floyd to fight at 145 do you think it would be hard for him to make? Hell no because he only weighs 150 on fight night. If you have to cut 15lbs for EVERY fight you are in the wrong weight class.(Mikey Garcia is another example of fighter taking re-hydration too far.

    2 year layoff dude.

  7. Yeah I know but it was pretty obvious while watching the 24-7 that Floyd wasn't going to make weight.

And Floyd has great work ethic. If he really wanted to shed those 3 pounds he could have

Article from the post fight: " It was later revealed that the contract was changed a few days prior to the weigh in so that Mayweather would be allowed to weigh up to the welterweight limit of 147 lbs while avoiding paying an additional fine to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, in addition to the fine he agreed to pay to Marquez"
so he basically decided to pay Marquez for the 2 pounds?

I hope Alvarez does come in at 154, then there won't be any excuse.

  11. Yes. He had to pay Juan for coming in over the limit.

I don't know why the contract was even changed. That's absurd. :huh

  12. I hope so too. The fight is for the 154 lb title's

Floyd is the super champ at 154. I still don't understand why 152 had to happen :-(

Yeah Floyd put the weight penalty in there for a reason. He wouldn't call off a fight that'll generate in the 100's of millions of dollars the day before

Floyd also wanted the fight at 152 for a reason. I don't think Floyd would pull out of the fight either but I wouldn't be surprised if he did.

I remember Marquez saying he though he should post pone the fight but he went ahead with it, but he's got that pride thing, he wouldn't be alright with looking scared. Mayweather doesn't have that.

if he were to knock floyd out it'd be in the first 4 rounds.
