Yeah. An undefeated champ that's been on top of the game for 16 years doesn't have "that pride thing". Out of curiosity, what is this "Pride thing" ?

Everybody calls Mayweather a coward for avoiding the biggest challenges when they are available but he couldn't care less, It doesn't bother him. It has nothing to do with being a champion or undefeated.

Floyd is serious about his money. He's not going to cancel the event a day beforehand. They already have a safe guard and worked everything out in the contract in case Canelo comes over.

Now if he comes over the 154lb limit, then it's possible they could cancel it, but most likely, Canelo would have to pay more money and then have to have a second weigh in on the day of the fight

Do you have any idea how much of a ***** Floyd would look like if he decided
to cancel after what he pulled against Marquez?

well that is a different situation. Floyd came in under the WW limit, but over the catchweight.

the situation I presented would have Canelo over the LMW limit, but the most likely scenario is that they just fine Canelo and make him do a second weighin on the day of the fight.

Void wanted a catch weight hoping that it will drain Alvarez, but Void complains about other fighters fighting at a catch weight...........

Packy did the same to Oscars3xual, Kneegal Cotto, and Plasterito hoping to drained them so that Packy can have the advantage.

Hail the original catchweight king Manny Packy!!!

Im just making a point, that to me, its weird how the boxing community look at certain boxers and say theyre muscular lol when in reality theyre not.. he looks asif hes lifted for say, 2 months.. just getting his first lil gains lol. Im not saying muscles are important in boxing, nor am i saying its about who looks the best. Just sayibg its weird how different communitys/people find certain people muscular etc.. o

While I am not pullling for Canelo, I agree that most posters know nothing about making weight for a fight. He only needs to lose 3.75 lbs a week at this point to make weight ... He should be fine ...

At this point and at 154 he shouldn't be that far off weight.

Maybe for a MW but not for a super welter.

floyd and his camp have already factored in that he is going to beat canelo at 152 or 154. there is less than a .01 percent chance that floyd is going to call off the fight if canelo weighs 154.

the two pounds is just about money.

its really not that difficult to figure out.

About the first part, no ****... But 152 is not about money, that is not the reason for it.

canelo recently came in at 153 against trout.

the same one pound difference that cotto came in againt clottey(146) and then was made to make 145 by roach for the paq fight. this was just freddie playing mind games to create a distraction with a rookie trainer that had no business acumen.

    http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2009/nov/13/trainers-scuffle-pacquiao-v-cotto-weigh-/

the difference here is that it appears that canelo is not making a big deal about the weight (as did cotto and his dipshi-t trainer joe santiago) as he weighs the same now as he did trout.

i give it less than 50/50 that canelo makes 152 and he probably comes in at 153, the same he did for austin.

gbp and team canelo are smart. alvarez coming in drained will probably have far more future financial repurcussions than if he were to pay the one pound penalty(153).
