Canelo and Golden Boy tryin to brainwash the mexicans. THATS ALL Negociations this Negocitians that BUT THE FIGHT WAS MANDATORY It was take it or leave it 75 - 25 your favour Canelito ( a ton of money going ur side) He chose to run the efff away THE FIGHT WASN'T MADE BECAUSE OF GB & CANELO The rest are just stories to put the kidz to sleep LET'S SEE ON THIS THREAD WHO BELIEVES THEM lol
Who cares who said the whole "154-168" non sense. Anyone who puts full stock into what a fighter, trainer, or promoter says should have their head examined. I did a thread on it. People should check it out. Here's a recap: Ward will be HW champ I'm retired..said by Mayweather and Paq I'll give him rematch..said by Lewis after his last fight. I don't remember all of them but I'm sure we all can find several more. GGG is a MW fighter. Canelo was the MW champ. He fought Cotto KNOWING GGG would be his mandatory and even after Cotto was stripped over sanctioning fees Canelo still went through with the fight, paid the fees because he wanted the MW championship. He then agreed to an interim fight to defend his MW belt KNOWING the GGG fight would be mandated next.
Yea I know bro But haters dont listen to reason, They wont come anywhere near this thread after we just DESTROYED IT
It's the middleweight title. The division weight limit is 160 pounds - Canelo and the entire rest of the boxing world know that.
Boxed, I've road with you dog a lot with what you say about the sport, but Canelo can't negotiate a catchweight of 155 lbs for a title fight against a full fledged MW at 160. As draws Cotto and Canelo can do that with each other, and some other MW's who don't make big money...but not real MW's who don't care whether they are the draw or not. And GG is doing something that hasn't been done in a while and that's clean up the MW title at 160. It's almost cheating to ask GG to come to 155 lbs. Now I know that some have relied on GG saying that he can beat anyone from 154-168, but if you win the lineal MW title, you can't ask a full fledged MW to come in at a lighter weight. And if one says why not, look what Canelo did. He dropped the title rather than face his mandatory.
As someone else in this thread said, it really doesn't matter what was said cuz you can't really take what any boxer says to heart, but as I pointed out earlier, it wasn't Golovkin who said that, it was his promoter.
I do listen to the fighter whether he lies or not, but never the trainer of today. And I don't have anything against the trainer. I'm old school minded. The true trainers are gone from the sport. We used to listen to those old guys. I think that Nacho Beristan is the last great old trainer that we have.
All they can do is lie and take their fight to the court of public opinion presided over by a La Raza judge, a coked out, cross dressing prosecutor and a jury of casuals.
I'm tired of the weight excuse. Alvarez, Lara, Trout, Smith, Angulo, Kirkland, Saunders, Brook, Eubank...ALL of them weigh more than GGG in the ring. 154 is full of middleweights who are too scared to fight at middleweight.
