Canelo made a big mistake suing DAZN & De La Hoya.

A company and organization has the right to get out of an unprofitable, loss making deal and contract. If Dazn was smart, they would have built in clauses to allow for extenuating circumstances to null and void the contract

 

Hypothetically speaking. If Canelo wins the case and gets 280 million dollars, would he even want to fight anymore?

Canelo was promised money per fight and dazn is balking

Dazn obviously overpaid

Canelo did fight jacobs and kovalev two good fights

Canelo has tried to get bjs and Callum smith

In dazns defense he wont fight ggg

But is there anything binding

We dont have the full documents to really assess

If bjs or smith stepped up we would not be talking about this

Dazn will win because of Covid and the fact Canelo was not delivering on his big fight promises. Apparently Dazn told him that he will not only have to accept a 50% paycut going forward but will also have to fight only in the big fights that they wanted.

Yes they overpaid but extenuating force majeur clauses like Covid can render the contract null and void

Look like he won’t be fighting For awhile. DAZN won’t be paying him to fight tune up guys and if he fights who they say, then his case is pretty much destroyed. With plenty of Peso already in the bank I don’t see an urgency in pushing the suit through the court either. I’d say he won’t fight till 2022.
