So Canyellow chooses what most would regard as the weakest champion at 154.

I have to admit I do like his consistency, if you going to be a b***h then be it and live it to the full :good

All Canyellow is missing is a mop wig and something to bite on.

    I know

And yet there are still people on here saying "it's not officially a duck".

At what point can we call it a duck? When can we safely say Canyellow has completely embarrassed himself, his country and boxing?

I can't wait to hear the excuses, the reasoning and the BS from the Canyellow fan club.

And there you go again with the trolling. To most people with a brain, they understand that practically everyone is either pricing himself out of a match or ducking GGG, almost literally his entire weight division, and the others above or below have not approached his team at all with proposals to fight. Or, if they did, they offered ridiculous contracts that they knew would be rejected by any fighter in his position. Hey though, keep hating.

i got called a golovkin fanboy for saying weeks ago that canelo offered smith a fight

be interesting to see if this is at 154 for the title or back at caneloweight,, be interesting to see what sort of reaction canelo gets from the general public if this gets announced, you would of thought the press would be all over him
Oscar is guna have to work his magic to spin the golovkin story round cos at the moment canelo/Golden boy are coming off 'a little worried' about GGG to say the least

But no one has to be happy with it.

I'd much rather see Canelo v Smith and Golovkin vs Jacobs with Canelo leaving the division as opposed to spend another year waiting for the two best to face each other.

In an ideal world Canelo and G would just fight each other, but if that isn't going to happen, them being in separate divisions is the next best thing.

I'm gonna watch the fights anyway so it doesn't really bother me too much.

If he's leaving MW to go back to JMW (which he really never left), that's fine. Golovkin defacto already had the top MW spot, lineage be damned in this case because the lineal champ evaded his challenge and ran.....

That still counts as a valid lineal championship though, that's what happened with Bowe who was still lineal while he ran from Lewis and dropped his WBC belt, and Spinks as he didn't wanted to get busted up by Tucker for the IBF one.
Spinks was even the lineal champion when Tyson was "undisputed", which can happen to Golovkin if he gets Saunders in the ring with him.

Reason why the lineal has been lightly regarded nowadays, because you can avoid the best challengers until the cows come home, and then avoid the cows.

Man, the thing is you're not even being sarcastic are you?

Alvarez is a very talented fighter but the fact that he won't fight Golovkin doesn't sit well with me. First it was the 155 thing... Alvarez was the Lineal MW Champ and the MW limit is 160 Lbs. Golovkin was the mandatory challenger for the WBC belt that Alvarez held, again the MW limit is 160 Lbs. Fighting Khan at 155 was fine because that was not a mandatory defense and Khan agreed to do that... a mandatory challenger has more leverage than that.

I get it, Alvarez is a big star and he (and his camp) wants to call all of the shots. No deadlines, make his own weight class, etc. It's bullshlt! It's clear that Alvarez (and the people around him) don't feel confident that Alvarez can beat Golovkin. They have went as far as saying ridiculous things like Golovkin doesn't deserve to fight Alvarez. It needs to stop. If I was Golovkin I wouldn't even waste my time worrying about Alvarez.

I was a huge Alvarez fan and I still like to watch his fights but I do not condone his recent actions. There is nothing wrong with making a lot of money in the sport of boxing but when it comes to making claims about being the best... you can't really be serious about that when you refuse to fight a guy in your own weight class that will be considered the betting favorite. Oh, but he's not really a MW though... but he's not really a JMW either because he feels most comfortable at 155!!! Stupid!

You don't see guys at CW saying things like, "I feel best at 185 so I'm only going to fight guys at 185 or below". Now imagine if a guy like that was considered the Lineal Champ at CW. A guy who could weigh up to 200 Lbs. for his entire career become the mandatory but has to cut down to 185 just because of some guy who thinks he's better than everyone else. Fvck that!

Lonnie Smith would probably put up a better fight and he's 53. I'd rather see Alvarez fight the 61 year old Ozzie Smith, at least people have heard of him... and he can do back flips. Ozzie Smith had a teammate named Lonnie Smith by the way lol.

Anyway, this is a kick in the face to the fans. Fvck You Canelo and the horse you rode in on!

Nah if Canelo leaves the division the title is contestable between the remains 1 and 2 (Golovkin and Jacobs)
