If Canelo can make 154, goes back there and stays there for a while, it'll earn him a good degree of forgiveness, from me at least.
Not a fan of such huge weight cutting but it's obviously preferable to what he's been doing.
He's gonna be rolled in to the weigh in on a wheelchair, with translucent skin.

    Seriously, what's wrong with you?

    A mandatory is a mandatory.

    A fighter has 3 options:

    1. He takes the fight.

    2. He refuses and eventually gets stripped.

    3. He relinquishes the belt voluntarily.

If GG has to fight a less than stellar mandatory, it'll be extremely frustrating. But he can't be criticised for it, because he's obligated by the rules of boxing to take it.

Canelo was his mandatory, but he wouldn't fight him. So we're going to miss out on a great fight.

Since we're talking about mandatories. HOW on God's green earth did Dominic Wade obtain his mandatory? He only fought 1 10 round fight IIRC, and was gifted that decision. How the IBF mandated him with so little experience beyond 8 rounds is beyond me. That's why that **** was bogus, he was just an undefeated guy who wasn't ready for that shot. So what the **** is wrong with you that you have to be so ignorant to that fact. I don't buy into this hype train like you obviously, so step back a little you little *****.

What has any of what you've written have to do with GG??

Criticise the Org's, not the fighter.

You can't criticise GG if he HAS to fight a guy like Wade.

I haven't fallen for the hype train.

You'll see me on other threads ridiculing the deluded section of GG's fan base.

You want to get all angry because I say Wade was a Bogus Mando. What does Wade have to do with GGG? OH, IDK YOU TELL ME.:think

    I'm not getting angry.

My point is, GG has no control over the situation. What you've written has nothing to do with GG personally. I agree with you, the Org's are a joke. But you can't criticise GG for fighting Wade when he had to.

His goal is to obtain all of the MW belts. At the moment he's half way there. But to achieve his goal, he has to fight WBA and IBF mandatories along the way.

    There's nothing he can do.

You can't ever criticise a fighter for fighting a weak mandatory, especially if they've committed themselves to a division for a worthwhile cause.

Roy Jones used to get ripped for fighting his mandatories like Richard Frazier etc. But what was he meant to do, when like GG, he wanted to unify?

As a fan, it's extremely frustrating to watch GG at 34 fighting guys like Wade. But again, what can he do about it?

I've only criticised you for criticising him. It's unjust.

Canelo went full Mayweather. Liam is the weakest 154 title holder since...hell, I don't even know. He is an accidental champ.

Here you see GGG haters irrationality:

    - blame GGG for honoring sanctioning organization and fighting mandatory Wade
    - applaud Canelo as smart business man for avoiding his mandatory GGG in order to fight Liam Smith

    That absolutely makes no sense.

Wade was a bogus mandatory. The mother****er barely had 10 round experience ffs. The fool wasn't ready.

And what don't you understand? Canelo is moving back down to 154, so using your Guys' logic, "How can you duck a guy not in your division"?
