No mandatory can be BOGUS. Either you honor your sanctioning organization or you don't. Can you imagine this forum had GGG dropped the belts to avoid Wade? Oh christ the forum would have crashed as the haters would have had a field day...

The IBF in general is bogus, stripping Fury the way they did. That was bogus too.

A mandatory is a mandatory??? Not really. Common sense needs to prevail!

Yes, it is true that many times a mandatory is not deserving. Sometimes if you want to keep the title belt you have to fight guys like this. Golovkin likes having his belts, so what? He also wants to fight the best fighters available but no one seems interested. He is clearly the most feared man at MW, he deserves the fight with Alvarez, and he is the mandatory... and actually deserves to be. What's the fvcking problem? Anyone who thinks there is someone more deserving is a fvcking idiot! Anyone who thinks Golovkin isn't the betting favorite over Alvarez is a fvcking idiot.

Saying things like, "so what if Golovkin is the mandatory, Wade was Golovkin's mandatory and that fight meant nothing..." This isn't Wade, Lemieux, Monroe, Murray, Rubio, Geale, Macklin, etc. It's Golovkin. It's not Khan, Cotto, Kirkland, Lara, Trout, etc. It's Golovkin. People who defend Alvarez make no sense to me.:nut:bart:nono:think

Canelo is a coward not sure why people even post about him anymore. He is scared to death of GGG.

Yes, he unified the division. Technically, you could argue that he didn't, as Dariusz was the lineal champ after beating Hill but was then stripped. But after his belts had been past around, Roy eventually ended up with them after beating Lou Del Valle and Reggie Johnson. So along with the WBC belt, he ended up with all 3 of the main belts. But my original point was that a fighter shouldn't be criticised for taking on weak mandatories. A fighter has no control over the rankings.

That's what happens when you're not objective and you debate on emotion.

    What difference does it make?

If Wade became Canelo's mandatory and Canelo wanted to keep his belt, he would HAVE to fight him.

How long have you been watching boxing?

I think there's a good few people on here who are biased against GG due to comments made by the deluded section of his fan base.

Would people rather Canelo continued to pretend to be MW champ?

Aside from fighting G, this is the best case scenario.
