Canelo may lose to a bloated up welter if he continues to drain himself to avoid GGG

It's obvious that this dude is killing himself to make 155 pounds to fight high profile welters instead of moving up at his real weight class of 160 lbs, but this thing could be his main downfall. Cutting wait down from 180+ lbs to 155 eventually will affect your health.

Canelo would probably lose against a good welter due of the weight draining and a fight between him and Golovkin may not be so appealing.

    :-(

He will be shot by the time he's 30 the way he cuts so much weight before each fight

**** Canelo. He doesn't want to be light middleweight, he doesn't want to be middleweight but he wants to fight welterweights at 155lbs. **** the WBC for letting him do this ****.

:rofl O$CAR & Canelo are trying to avoid GGG and will continue until Canelo's not able to drain.

    Canelo is risking his health.

    ;)

Yeah this thing is stupid and wrong. Where is his azteca warrior pride ? Move @ 160 lbs and challenge Golovkin / go in UK and fight Saunders and Eubank Jr, be a true mexican warrior.

Time is on our side. Good guys will win this because Canelo will not be able to keep doing this much longer. He is 168 a month before the fight. Genady is 164 at the same time. I expect him to move up to 156 after this fight, and in a year to 157. Eventually he will get to Golovkin, who by that time will have 4 belts and zero fcks

:admin I don't know how much of this "catch weight" nonsense is due to O$CAR protecting his "Golden Goose" !!! I suspect it's mostly O$CAR protecting his supply of "NOSE CANDY".

:patsch I wouldn't have thought this would happen but...

Seems like Canelo is going along with it.

I really expected better from Canelo.

    ;)

Won't be surprised if Canelo gradually moves up to 156, 157... etc but his body would collapse if he keeps doing this.

Erik Morales did the same thing, a guy almost 5'10 walked atoune at 165 170, and drained himself to get down to 130, when he finally had to move up and fight guys he should have been fighting he looked like shyt.

Probably it will affect his career in a long run, but now is the moment to make money. He will loose most top 10 MW when he steps up.

I can't see it happening but I hope Khan embarrasses Canelo.

I don't like either of them but Canelo is a disgrace in my opinion, a middleweight belt holder fighting a welterweight, truly embarrassing.
