I am teamCanelo all day but I wanted to bring in some pointers as to why this fight is intriguing. I feel Canelo will win this and not be blown out as most say in this forum.

So this post is for the haters, doubters, and anyone interested in a good thought analysis for the Mayweather/Canelo bout.

Alvarez is a very interesting bout for Mayweather for several reasons.

    154 = 50/50

152 = 70/30 in favor of Floyd : Not fighting at an even level of playing field. Canelo not at his best weight, he'll be drained and not hydrated.

  3. Good points. This fight isn't going to be a brawl but Canelo will let his combinations fly when he sees an opening

point number 3 is the big one for me
Floyd won't be outboxed, so the two biggest factors as I see it will be what weight Floyd comes in at (and how/if it affects him) and can canelo hurt him in the first 3 rounds?

i think point 5 you made is the other way around. floyd does not need his opponent to fire a shot for him to counter

floyd takes a fighter who outputs 70-80 punches a round and has em sitting at 25-30 by round 3. then he starts landing single lead right hands and jabs to the body at will, floyd is not an offensive counterpuncher like marquez who seems to like a fighter to unload so he can throw. floyd lets his opponent tea off on him while he shoulder rolls and parrys punches then may pop in a jab or lead right and roll out. if you stand toe to toe with him in the centre of the ring frozen like you have seen a ghost he will just unload right hand and hooks on you (see mosley fight, see guerrero fight)

    ?

This is why I said Floyd will have to create opportunities for HIMSELF.

No laughing matter here, y'all F1om0s should know the drill :patsch

Won't be at his best weight, drained and not hydrated, not fighting on even level of playing field = 70/30

I have to disagree. If Canelo and his team knew that 152 won't be healthy for him they won't take the risk regardless of money. He still has that 0 which can be worth a lot in the future. :deal

Which he has no problems in doing.

Canelo is a live gun, but don't fool yourself. Mayweather puts more pressure on fighters than anyone. Maybe not physically but mentally he is the best. Mayweather does not loose focus 1 second of a fight, so his opponents need to match it. You show a weakness Mayweather will expose it.

I see this fight going like most of Mayweathers fights. Close early, by round 5 Mayweather is cruising.

 Well you heard wrong. Let me guess, you heard it from another Fl0m0 .

Canelo could even be fighting at 147 according to your source :patsch.

The opportunity was created when they signed the contract. To say this fight is 50/50 is a joke. A bad joke! Floyd's skill level is THE BEST IN THE WORLD, Alvarez May be skilled but how much is unknown. He has how many wins that were against guys above journeymen? 3 maybe, And Cintron may not even count. Then the trout fight, which could have been a good fight until the end of the 4th round when trout heard the scores and knew he had no chance to win. There is no way that hearing those scores did not have a negative affect on Trout. So the fact that some c level fighters say that Alvarez is smart or tough or hits hard means very little.
