Canelo NEEDS to fight Benavidez

Think you're right. While Benavidez has the size and strength to overwhelm most guys, the defensive holes are apparent. Against a skilled counter puncher like Nelo, the holes are going to get exploited if and when that match happens. Having said that, Benavidez is still the biggest threat to nelo, and that fight should happen sometime next year.

I agree Canelo needs to fight Benavidez, but Beterbeiv? Thats ridiculous. Canelo can't hurt him, cant intimidate him, can't outbox him, can't run from him and for damn sure can't take that kind of firepower on the chin. All of that would get multiplied by Canelo walking into the ring with zero confidence to begin with because he's knows he stands no chance.

Thats not how you fight. Thats how you get executed.

 

Benavidez is a vicious supermiddleweight and wants absolutely nothing to do with Beterbiev. David even said he doesn't want to fight Beterbiev.

 

Canelo is a fake & a fraud. Just like his predecessor He's picked his cherries like a fruit farmer. Made the mistake with Bivol though & got his ass kicked Dmitry made him look like a journeyman. So even his fan boys say NO!! don't rematch Bivol @168 he's too good for you. Don't worry he wont LOL I doubt very much after last night that he'll entertain Benividez either

 

He hasn't got the Cojones or the skills to fight Bivol again @ 168 lol Canelo is Like Floyd a manufactured champion

 

Canelo waited too long. Fight won't happen now unless Canelo is convinced by someone to pass the torch. Canelo is fading while Benevidez is improving every day. Can't age him out like he did to GGG. Should have fought him 2 years ago.

Benavidez is a ****ing monster. This fight would be absolute fireworks. Think it happens next May. If Benavidez wins, no one at 168 will give this guy a challenge. At 175, Beterbiev will be aged by then and Benavidez would beat him. The Bivol fight would be a great fight.

 

That he's faced just about everyone will be somewhat overshadowed if he ducks Benavidez. Of course, Beterbiev would be substantially more dangerous, but it would still be unsatisfying if he faces him instead of Benavidez. I want to see that fight.
