As I've been around, people are already saying that Canelo was too inexperienced to be in with Floyd, when just pre-fight. PLENTY OF PEOPLE were giving Canelo the nod, or at least a shot.

    Shane Mosely
Teddy Atlas along with plenty others.

Now all of a sudden he was too green? Give Floyd his credit.

Just don't respond to those posts & you will be the better man.
Floyd deserves all credit for winning the duel he outpointed Alvarez simple as that.

I agree that Canelo was a bit green. But, he is a good fighter. And Floyd beat him fair and square. Floyd fought Canelo, he didn't just run and pot shot him. The better man won Saturday night, and as annoying as Floyd's personality is, he deserves credit for that win.

Floyd makes his opponents look ordinary... having said that Canelo was also clueless as to what to do.... he just wasn't quick enough and didn't know what to do

Lol Canelo wasn't green, he was just never that special. He spent the majority of his career beating up far smaller bums from Mexico or washed up legends. He was a spoiled little bully and thug who got away with blatant fouls in the ring and gift decisions, simply because Mexico loves him. At the world stage though he got exposed as a dumb bully with no plan B when his opponents refused to do what he wanted. He tried to cheat but the ref caught him, and after that he fell apart mentally.
He already had to kill himself to make jmw, he can't stay here for long. Sooner or later he's gotta go up to middle weight, and then he'll really get his **** pushed in.

People were saying he was too green before the fight so it should not be a surprise people are re-stating their opinion now that the fight has helped confirm this.

Yes people were expecting Canelo to do better than he did but nobody or very few really thought he had a serious shot at an upset. Mayweather is clearly the best fighter of his generation and Canelo other than a punchers chance simply never had the style to beat Floyd.

To be fair, just about every media member was picking Floyd before the fight. In the fan polls that I saw, generally around 75% were picking Floyd.

Dont buy into the hype!! Just watch the fights.

The only thing I got wrong about the fight is that i thought Floyd would stop him.

Canelo at times was getting out jabbed by Matthew Hatton!!!!

Before the fight was signed, everyone was screaming for this fight.to be made and even saying Floyd will duck Canelo because he is too dangerous.

Fight was made, Floyd won easily, now Canelo is too green. Wtf.

Floyd destroyed Chico Corrales and became a P4P staple at age 23. I don't want to hear any "green" excuses, the guy has been fighting as a pro for 8 years.

My opinion on the fight never changed, and it went about as expected with the minor exception that I thought Floyd would dominate him worse than he did.

Floyd gets credit from me, but Canelo should've been a 5/1 underdog and it was hype alone that made the odds closer than that.

The experts were almost unanimous is support of Mayweather by UD. If Mosley said Canelo had a chance then he changed his mind. I heard one interview where Mosley was completely dismissive when asked if Canelo had a chance.

Yes he was a threat because of his size but very few people actually expected him to win.

Most people expected to be outboxed and loss a UD which is what happened. But he was defenitely one of the best available opponents.
