Bivol offered to drop down to 168 & fight Ginger for all his trinkets. His Majesty the self professed King of Boxing said NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems even Canelo's ball bag swingers are getting sick of him.

This is very sad. Even if Alvarez doesn't want to face Benavidez (who would happily move back down in weight.) these are undeserving, uninteresting choices. There are not a lot of truly top challengers at 168 but I much prefer David Morrell or Christian Mbilli over these two.

No Charlo. He’s already provided enough money to those bums.

Both options are not good. What happened to the Scull fight? I just don't think Jermall Charlo deserves the peydey, I get wanting to take out both Charlos, and I predicted he would fight both Charlos, but it's just not a fight that really gets anyone excited at this point. I mean I was excited for the fight with Jermell Charlo because he was clearly the better more discipined more accomplished Charlo. Turned out I was wrong in that it turned out to be a very one-sided fight. But that still made sense to a certain extent.

If he's not going to fight Benavidez, he should take on a top contender, like a David Morrell or a Christian Mbilli. Those woud be more intriguing. What I would say to the haters though, he just fought Munguia. It's not like he's just fighting Bums. Munguia was a great win, so if he does take a light touch now, it would be deserved. But I don't want to see him take a light touch, I want to see him continue to challenge himself and enhance his legacy. His last 4 opponents each were good to great opponents. That said, Canelo's not getting any younger and if he wants to challenge himself or impress the boxing world, neither Charlo or Berlanga really do anything for him to that end.

I said earlier this year that he needs to fight Benavidez in September, and if he doesn't, it's going to be a problem. That holds true. At the same time Benavidez running off to LHW sort of gives Canelo an excuse to not fight him, but he still shoud fight him.

People were complaining about the potential Scull fight despite him being the mandatory. If Scull is the mandatory, and we know how strict the IBF can be, he should just get that out the way. Rather than fight Berlanga or Charlo which fans justifiably will complain about.

4-5 years ago Jermall was a very credible opponent for Canelo or Golovkin, this dude has gone through inactivity, outside the ring ****, and mental health issues. He's not the same fighter (although he showed glimpses against Jose B). It's not a credible fight at this point. Even as a Charlo supporter I can't get behind this.

As for Berlanga, Berlanga isn't even a top 15 guy IMO and I can't really see him beating even the moderately high level in the division. He's the definition of someone having been exposed without a loss (which he actually should have).

Neither option is great but Berlanga is far worse. Canelo's choices at SMW are very thin at this point though.
