Benavidez is too chicken to fight Morrell.

How about Morrell win about 10 more fights before he starts talking about title shots? The fact he’s a WBA mandatory shows how thin 168 is and makes Canelo look worse by extension for not fighting Benavidiez.

Benavidez should fight in cruiserweight or in heavyweight, instead of chasing a 5,' 7'' boxer.

This is a terrible post... Boxing isn't broken up between HEIGHT divisions FFS.
I guess a 160 LB Kingsley Ikeke really should have been at HW, huh?

His team and even him were talking about unifying 175, curiserweight belt... freaking Usyk!
And all of that disappeared with a single loss.

I was a Canelo fan for a while. He did take the though fights and I loved his style.
But now? Man, it´s a though time for me.

Imagine this is how some Danny Garcia fans felt when Danny fought Salka, Peterson and Malignaggi.

Its the opposite for me. I never liked Canelo particularly during his 'quest for greatness' run up to the Bivol fight when the judges were in his pockets.

However ever since then with all the criticism he's gotten over his opponents of choice, he started to grow on me mostly because he choses who he wants to fight instead of letting the fans run him over. If he wants to fight Jermall next, I'm cool with it. Idk for me as a casual fan I just want to see interesting fights. I don't really care about anything else beyond that.

Yes but it doesn't alter the fact that Benavidez is much bigger and naturally more powerful than Canelo. He's also 6 years younger than him.

He should stop being a bully in a weight division he doesn't belong to and move up and fight boxers similar to his size.

I can't really get invested in being upset for the Benavidez fight, I'm on the fence. On one hand he's obviously a good fighter, the next best at 168. On the other hand under closer inspection, has he really proven anything to us? He went 12 rounds with Plant, whom Canelo knocked out for the 1st time in his career. Caleb was the biggest fight of David's career to that point, after being pummelled into friendliness by Canelo. Then he fought Andrade, who a) hadn't yet proven his own quality as an elite fighter.
    b) wasn't a 168 division contender either.
Also he had plenty of time to fight the same champs Canelo did upon entering 168 and didn't not to mention losing his belt TWICE out of the ring. Some of you have been playing the weight bully card on Alvarez for years and are ignoring how much of one Benavidez obviously is himself. I do want to see the fight, but I feel like Benavidez is just the next hate hype train. If Canelo makes him look silly he'll be replaced by morell mungia or whomever else they think has a shot in hell of beating Canelo. And for all these Benavidez supporters out here you'd think the guy would at least be able to sell some damn fights lol.

Is that what you think boxing is about/ Equal height, equal power??

Maybe guys should fight only those their own age? How about only fight guys with same hand speed??

C'mon dude...this is completly unrealistic to suggest.

Yes, Benavidez doesn't belong to super middleweight. He's taking advantage of his size, and enjoying bullying smaller fighters. I want to see him against Bivol, Beterbiev, Opetaia or Briedis. Those would be fair fights for him. And he doesn't have to worry about those names, if he's really the great fighter you all claim him to be.

Who cares who you want to see him with. He makes 168, he's a SprMW. And the logical #1 contender. You keep saying Canelo is too small. He fought and won a belt already at 175 FFS.

Guys here freaking about size bullies all the time should reconsider another sport to complain about.

I find that rather amusing, but I kind of get it.
I don´t think we will see two undisputed champions fight each other anytime soon again.
    But Jermall? Ugh.

It's broken into reach divisions when you talk about Mayweather.
