Alvarez is riding on the fact that he is a big draw for the PPV May 4th card (lots of ESB'ers swore they wouldn't buy the PPV unless Canelo-Trout was on it) and trying to use that as a bargaining tool with Mayweather. He wants to do what Mayweather did to De La Hoya and take over as the PPV king, you can't blame him for that in a way but it seems to me that he is giving Mayweather an easy way out of the fight in September.

People are lambasting Canelo on here, but you can't really blame him to that extent. I still think he probably wants to fight Trout, but he will be making Mayweather a lot of money by fighting on the undercard so he feels he is entitled to some payback from Mayweather i.e. the September fight.

So, word is Canelo and Trout is still on, just not on the Mayweather undercard. If that is indeed the case, I guess a lot of you Canelo haters/Floyd nuthuggers were being quite presumptuous in saying that Canelo was using this as an excuse to duck Trout. It seems to me that Floyd is the one ducking, if anyone is ducking that is. Floyd being Floyd as usual.

    Yeah, I understand his perspective.

Why can't Canelo get a signed agreement that if he gets passed Trout that Mayweather will have to fight him next? If he's going to try bolstering the PPV card, which he will be quite an amount. I would buy the fight if Trout-Canelo is on the card (Assuming it wasn't actually 90$s), but if it is not I am not really sure I would.

I won't buy the Mayweather-Guerrero fight is there is no Canelo-Trout. That was the fight I wanted to see anyway. Mayweather-Guerrero was just a bonus.
