It's a much better and lucrative fight for Canelo anyways. Plus, it's a more exciting fight for the fans to watch with a lot of appeal, especially from the Latino crowd.

I believe the report because it's coming from Chris Mannix, who sucks as a TV guy but is a good reporter.

Pretty clearly I think Canelo would prefer another shot at Bivol, but really the best scenario is Bivol vs Beterbiev & Canelo vs Benavidez. I'll buy Bivol/Canelo II but would be much better for boxing if the destination fights got made in their proper divisions.

Not officially. He is the interim champion. The mandatory hasn´t been called yet.

Exactly. He cant beat Bivol no matter what he does different, with Benevidez he has a better shot at winning plus his purse and PPV revenue would be alot higher as well. Its a no brainer for Canelo, i hope he stays away from Bivol and goes with DB in September.

Because losing to Bivol again won’t really do much to his brand since “it’s a fight out of his weight class”, losing or even having a close fight against Benavidez will hurt his brand, so I can see why Canelo doesn’t want to fight the Monster.

I personally much rather see the Benavidez fight than Bivol.

A lot of money for a not-so-difficult (less difficult than bivol) fight.

Yeah, I’d take the DB offer if it’s for real, as well.

Much more winnable fight than bivol and a much bigger payday. Makes no sense not to take this fight.

If the offer is legit, it's too much money to turn down but obviously we have to question if it is legit, remember when Wilder offered Joshua 50 mill but Hearn had 24 hours to agree and then Finkel refused to meet Hearn to discuss the detail without agreeing to the fight first, lol.

This just could all be hot air and an attempt to hype the fight and even if some Sheik from Saudi is willing to bank roll it doesn't mean the money is actually there, they tend to be fickle and sometimes this talk of Saudi money to bankroll a fight never materialises like when there was talk of Pac/Spence being bank rolled for a Saudi fight.

That's the fight I want to see too. I favour Canelo but if he's slipped too much he could be beaten.

Agreed. **** the Canelo rematch, we already know what'll happen. The Benavidez fight would make crazy money due to the Mexican fanbase and he's been waiting a long time for his shot.
