    Canelo.
I'd have to envision AJ fighting at MW & Canelo fighting at HW to come to a decision. Hard to decide looking at 2 different weight classes with no fighters either can say they both fought.

Shrink AJ down and I'm not sure what attributes he'd use to beat 3G Saul faced. How would a 154lb AJ had done against Mayweather that Saul faced? Could Joshua outbox Erislandry Lara and gotten a true win & not gift?
Would he have stifled Cotto's inside game?

Given how Saul uses his reach & height, how much more effective would he be if he were 6'8? I think he uses that weight, height & reach advantage better than AJ.

I don't think their resumes are comparative.
AJ's win over a long reigning Wlad is huge, but so, too is Canelo over a long reigning MW, named 3G.

3G & Wlad both proved they were flawed champs, whereas Wlad's was based on his chin & 3G is adaptability, regarldess he did rule for some years.

Saul has faced pretty much every style imaginable, AJ hasn't. But AJ has more trinkets & belts on his resume, even though Canelo's resume is quite glittery.

They are completely incomparable. Canelo’s win was not a “robbery” it was a close win and was far more impressive than Joshua beating a past it 41-year old man who had been completely schooled 10-2 AT BEST by Tyson Fury a year earlier. Canelo also didn’t come close to being KD. Canelo’s performance was way, way, way more impressive.

Alvarez is more talented and more skilled than the weightlifter, that goes without saying.

AJ doesn't have more belts on his resume, Canelo is unified middleweight champion and former 2 time light middleweight champion.

I stand corrected- in how I stated. I mean to quote how AJ fans are right in stating that Joshua has won so many titles in just a short period of time.

    Not overall, my bad.

I don't take away from AJ's win because he did something that hadn't been done in years. Beat the long reigning champ; WK.

That is all that is compared: 2 long reigning champs were beaten. So if you say Saul win was far more impressive, than, you are comparing the two lol!
I don't call Wlad 41 & past it at the time he lost. I rarely use age because at some point that younger foe will become the older foe.

Be it at 41 or whenever, AJ won a heckuva fight against a pretty heavy handed puncher who dropped him. He rose and won, can't take that away. Great win for AJ when one reviews his best victories.

Gr8 win for Canelo beating a 36 year old fighter...who many will continue to say: 3G was a limited fighter and any mobile MW would've exposed him. I think some say Jacobs did it, judges didn't agree though.

As Don King once said - 'There's two weight divisions in boxing. Heavyweights and then the rest'

All the other weight classes are just pretenders fighting under restrictions.

Is there an NBA for 5'9 guys? An NFL for 160lbs people?

    Heavyweight is the true division.

If Golovkin was Joshua's size, Joshua would be beaten to a pulp.

    160 pound Canelo>Joshua

AJ was the same fighter he was in 2013, right? Thats what you implied of Alvarez when I said Mayweather only beat a green version of him.

    Canelo by miles.

He's a genuine standout boxer with incredible reflexes, all round skills and he's basically nearly the total package.

Joshua is basically a giant with decent skills in a very shallow division. Heavyweight hasn't been this dire in years.
