If you want to stick your head in the sand and believe Canelo's (at the time) promoter, sure, go for it.

According to Dopeology.org, which extensively covers doping in professional cycling, "Clenbuterol, like many other substances, accumulates in very small amounts in hair follicles. If an athlete has taken the substance over a period of time in the past, his/her hair test might return a positive for a period of six months or longer. Conversely, if the clenbuterol resulted from a single incident, in which the subject had eaten meat for example, a hair test would almost certainly be negative."

Nevada Athletic Commission executive director Bob Bennett, who made the request for the test,

that Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) did not show any traces of the banned performance-enhancing drug clenbuterol. NAC collected hair samples on March 29 and testing was handled at the WADA-accredited Sports Medicine Research & Testing Laboratory in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Two separate non Canelo promoting sources.

    Who's your P4P? And why?

I think it's pretty unanimous that Canelo is currently the best in the world

Yea he didn’t, but I still rate him highly for convincingly cleaning out his division

On paper Canelo is the current top P4P guy if you want to walk into the P4P maze.

I might be critical of his timing and antics when you sit down and dissect his path but still he will be a HOF boxer.

Love him or hate him the kid is the face of the sport we all love. His name echos from the mouth of casual fans and die hard fans.

Fair enough, I'd like to see him fight Wilder or Ruiz Jr before getting the winner of AJ Fury, I think the heavyweight division needs a bit of a shake up, there's really only two guys. Do you think he will force his mandatory with AJ first though?

    I agree 100% with you.

I dont like the fact that Canelo is now #1 and how he got there, by hook or crook, but his skill set is sublime and deserves respect.

I got Inoue, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with picking Canelo.

Inoue is certainly impressive, completely different from Canelo, he's a complete savage and I love it.

Honestly I tend to put most of my focus between 135 and 168. So I might be sleeping on Inoue a bit but from what I have seen he is very fun to watch.

Who do you figure his next fight should be?
Is Dasmarinas a worthy opponent? That looks like it could be a slugfest

I thought he was going to force it, think he’s stepping aside now that Fury vs Joshua seems like it’s actually gonna happen

Then winner vs Usyk or would you wanna see him fight another tune up before challenging?

I honestly don’t think much of usyk at heavyweight. Think he gets torn up by any high level fighter in the division

LOL Of course its realistic . Everyone knows how it is with Canelo, & Mayweather before him, they owe a very large part of their "success" to the NSAC, Oscar's influence & the Vegas "friendly" officials. Without that help Legal & illegal both would have had several losses in their careers.
Oh & Before you start calling me a hater just notice it was a guy that claims Canelo is "probably a P4P" that brought up the robberies & NSAC corruption ?? Even their rabid fans really know their idols do not deserve to be P4P.
