that fact is mutually exclusive from him using a banned drug. He thought he could get away with continuing it, but he thought wrong.

when clenelo is proved guilty, then hes guilty like pedvetkin was, not until.

using pedvetkin as a comparable example remains facetious, regardless of your comment. YOU PEOPLE do more damage to 3G by using facetiious arguments, please stop doing it, I dont appreciate you destorying 3g.

Canelo would know not to eat beef in mexico. Its not like its the first case or not well documented. Hes at fault what goes into his body, even if it was an "accident". Ban povetkin, ban canelo. That simple.

no, hes guilty when proven guitly.

stop making 3g see gutless by providing spurious arguments. you are harming the rep of one of my fav boxers.

when Canman is guilty then I will join oyu in the shout-out, but not until because i dont want to share in your habit of making 3G look like an idiot.

Whether you believe the tainted meat story, that Canelo ate for days, failing multiple tests and producing trace numbers of illegal clenbuterol several times of other athletes' that received bans, one thing no one can argue with: Alvarez' training camp for the May 5 fight is compromised. Knowingly using PEDs or not does not change the fact that clenbuterol entered his system at a critical stage of camp, upon losing weight and building muscle (it's what clen's for BTW), it happened, it benefited him irregardless of the amount, therefore there is no sense in the fight going ahead with such an illegal advantage.

Now I am not the authority to hand out a 2-year ban or a slap on the wrist, though the trace amount suggests VERY serious amount of illegal substance in his body on two different occasions, and IMO being responsible for your own body, NSAC and organizations should revoke his licence. However, following the Adelaide Byrd gig last year I have no doubts the power to be are doing everything to go ahead, with Golden Boy, Nevada State and the organizations looking to pocket large dollar bills. Therefore, I expect it to go ahead and Canelo get away with it.

Postponing the fight may be the best compromise however, for several reasons:
    - NSAC shouldn't be pressurized to rush a decision because a fight is coming up, and if postponed and not 100% of happening, they may not look for a result benefiting the Nevada taxman, but an objective outcome benefiting the sport
    - official positive drug test complaints can be filed against Canelo at WBC's and WBA's, who then will HAVE to investigate, as right now, looking for the budget %s, they are unwilling to do so, defending Canelo blindly
    - most importantly, a late June date and non-stop tests would mean the effects of Canelo's willful or unwillful PED cycling would clear, he'd need to stop training not to overdo it and do a full camp under strict PED supervision clean, obviously denying home grown Mexican meat :'(
    - if they do ban Canelo in the spring, at least it's not in the middle of a heavy promotion (millions of loss for parties, networks involved), and if they don't ban him, investigation is closed by the hype reaches top gear

Now WHEN to do the rematch is a good question. Traditionally Mexican(-American) boxers do PPV on the Cinco De Mayo and the Mexican Independence Day weekend, but that does not mean a PPV can only succeed around that time, just like movies can do great box office at odd dates (or see Floyd/McGregor).

This fight is HYPED UP already and needs no extra promotion with all the news site PEDlines, and Golden Boy should trust the Latinos intelligence who damn well can hold onto their PPV or ticket money for a few more weeks, say late June. Now I don't know or care about what's going on in 'merica around that time sport-wise, but I'm sure there's a weekend during the entire Summer it can be done, and with good numbers. If not, a clean September fight is still better than one with a compromised fighter, cheating voluntarily or by meat accident.

They should either postpone it based on logic or have GGG come up with a fake injury to trigger it.

    What say you?

actually it is you causing a problem, but if you are insinutaitng that someone claims it was you who gave canelo beef, then you are an idiot of the highest order to be using that as a counterargument, noone has said such a mad thing.

stop making 3G look bad by jumping the gun is what is clearly being said to you - dont you run away from that truth by faking some other argument.

wait until we get official call and then i will join you in denouncing canelo.

it is true. Now Canelo is defensive and he is distracted. Almost getting out of the fight would be good and fighting later.

He tested Positive with a higher amount of Clen than other athletes banned using the "tainted meat" excuse.
    That's guilty.

Canelo had to move up in weight class to face GGG, so he was probably roiding to increase his muscle mass at 160. Whereas GGG is a seasoned middleweight so he didn't need to increase his weight, so should Canelo be let off?

And to this day, WADA can find no performance enhancing properties.

The medicine is similar to US PATENT drugs used to treat high cholesterol and heart attack/stroke prevention.

But because of intellectual property rights, the manufacturer is under no obligation to release the trade secrets in it's production soas US PHARM can not steal the formula without first paying for US patent.

the problem is beef was tainted with this. So what can you do? What if it was the beef and he is then suspended for something he did not do?
