OK, lets talk about the code front to back, and apply it to the Canelo situation.

So right there in the code they make it clear that there's flexibility in the sanctioning process, that the positive test isn't the be all end all like you're making it out to be. The rule is only the starting point, then there's a process by which there is flexibility to, where they consider the circumstances before deciding whether to sanction / punish the athlete.

Firstly, as it applies to Canelo, we are not dealing with an in-competition WADA test. (as it was with Contador or other cases) This is VADA.

*As we know from the link I provided in cases of Clenbutrol in counties where contaminated meat is a problem, WADA makes it clear that they do not believe it is reasonable to put the burden of the proof on the athlete. So yes, in cases not involving clenbutrol and contaminated meat, the burden of proof is on the athlete. However WADA makes it clear that they make an exception to that in cases of clenbuterol where contaminated meat is a known issue to where the burden of proof is NOT on the athlete.

There's always flexibility but that doesn't mean the athlete is not liable.

Stop making **** up, and that sentence doesn't even make grammatical sense. The burden of proving tainted meat source is unfair only in cases that are old years old as in the Bejing Olympics. That doesn't apply to cases today numbnuts. Any time you get caught for Clenbuterol, you have to prove your case ie. where the ****ing meat came from. The only time you don't is in the instance referred to in Bejing which happened 8 years ago. Again that doesn't apply to someone getting popped today.

    Stop twisting ****.

Wait a minute, we've been hearing for weeks how the burden of proof was on Canelo to prove the meat's origin !! Of course they will still investigate, which is what the NSAC is doing now, since it's VADA. Duhh.

Of course this all applies to Canelo since he's in a known Clenbuterol country. The point is per WADA they find it unreasonable for athletes like Canelo to have to prove the meat's origin, as many on here have claimed he had to do!

Now he may still provide the meat's origin, but the point is he's not required to, as WADA deems that unreasonable to require the athlete to do so.

Wrong ! LOL are you really trying to make this argument. You are quite stubborn I can tell.

The statement I provided you is not only in regard to the years old Beijing Olympics athletes. That is just an example, they state very clearly that :

There have been hundreds of cases – limited to a number of countries where contamination is known to be an issue and where the athletes would have resided, trained and/or competed; and, these cases have been treated in the same way as those identified through the Beijing Re-Analysis Program.

"these cases have been treated in the same way as"

"these cases have been treated in the same way as"

    hello . . .McFly . . . anybody home?

Continuing to deny this part of the statement because you don't want to admit you were wrong is hilarious.

I am quoting directly from the WADA release!

"Cases are regularly reported and sanctioned" . . . (wait for it)

    "when it is proven"

    "when it is proven"

"that the clenbuterol is of pharmacological origin"

    *mic drop*

Very low detection... ok. But Clenelo failed two test. The second one had very low levels. However the first one had 600-800pg which is off the freaking chart. Just post the second part of the lab directors statement again. Hmm, did you ever post it?

Yea, so to repeat 600-800pg is not very low levels, its very high so NONE of the not having to prove meat origin applies to Clenelo. He's going to have top explain and prove why his first test is so freaking high.

So how does his first failed test amount apply to him not having to prove the meat's origin?
