I see OP has been reading Breadman’s Mailbag over at the Scene...

FYI read Breadman’s mailbag from the weekend and the last email sent in covers this issue in more detail.

Yep, I came across the same mailbag last week. I find it the most informative mailbag around and gain a lot of knowledge from it.
I have the upmost respect for Stephen Breadman and think that his insider knowledge of boxing is top notch.

The follicle test is basically worthless as a detection method for clenbuterol:

""We initiated the test to be as comprehensive as possible but knowing it's very difficult, according to the experts," Bennett said. "It's a difficult process to be able to confirm whether there is clenbuterol in the hair follicles, but I talked to (SMRTL president and laboratory director) Dr. (Michael) Eichner and he said they'd run the test even though it is even more difficult to run on light-colored hair. But we sent them the samples and the tests came back negative.""

How much less likely is it to pick up clen in light hair over dark?

The amount of clenbuterol varies massively depending on hair colour. In this test the variance is almost an order of magnitude between the lowest sample and the highest:

Flush the follicle test down the toilet where it belongs, it's basically nothing more than a crutch for CLENelo fans.

But yet so many Golovkin fans demanded it. Funny how a Golovkin fan demand instantly turns into a Canelo fan crutch the moment he passes it. Funny how that happened isn't it?

The whole issue with it is that after the way they detected the clenbuterol (testing him while he was still in Mexico and earlier as ever before), and his changing physique lately, didn't look like an accidental contaminated meat issue but jucing.

Then we get the story of the hair sample test, and it was clean. Whoa! He didn't do it... it was contamination all alo... HEY! WAIT A MINUTE! Something is clearly missing here.
Shouldn't the clen he already got tested positive for show up in that hairsample? It absolutely should, right?! It's about the levels in the hair, not if it was in his system, because it most certainly was. And now it's totally clean?!
So that didn't add up at all, and then it seems like VADA, who caught him were not involved and there's nothing about how the test was handled, the quality of the lab as they couldn't find something that was most certainly there, how they collected the hairsample and many other questions that were left unanswered.
It's like watching a political debate about if a minister lied about subject A, and you get some vague story about how he couldn't have lied about it because some guy backs him up with another vague story.

The haircolor can be of influence here, but then the test is quite invalid also.

Either side of the debate this is one of the key aspects no-one disputes (especially Canelo apologists) and this begs the question: if it's well-documented Mexican meat is tainted, if you know it, if I know it - if the whole world knows it.... why did he eat it? He could have trained elsewhere, he could have shipped in his own food supply, but he didn't. Why? That question has never been adequately answered here, so maybe you can buck that trend.

When professional cycling was at its worst for doping many riders used blood transfusion as a way too boost their red cell count during long races and nearly all of them went to Spain prior to an event to have their blood taken as doping was not an offence in Spain as recently as 2006.

You wonder if Canelo trains in Mexico for similar reasons: that it's very convenient to cycle clenbuterol in a country where the meat is tainted by it?

+ why did they keep the test under wraps until the result came in? Abel brought this up the other day, there is no sane reason why they would keep it a secret when everyone was asking for it.
Obviously they weren't so sure about the outcome...

    Canelo pissed HOT. TWICE.

Canelo is literally DUCKING VADA tesing.

Of course, the same mentally challenged Canelo fans believe that JMM and Floyd were clean.

    'Nuff said.

NO NO NO NO NO !
    You got it twisted badly
All sports that are subjected to WADA test regulations require
    a positive A test (Urine)
    a Positive B test (Urine)

Any other stuff is just waffle people are talking about the hair sample because the Canello propaganda train are putting it out to everybody
Nobody is arguing with it so it appears to some that he did not take drugs

Anything that is not WADA approved will not be used as evidence or dismissed as evidence .

The two urine samples failed and if he does not like It should have not taken a banned substance
