@IsaL, Victor Conte, I'd say he knows more about banned substances than me and you, read that, don't sound very good does it..

    Conte:

"Clenbuterol is a very potent and effective performance-enhancing drug that would certainly help a boxer,"

"Canelo and Golovkin fought six months ago. What have they been doing since then? For four months, they had the green light to do whatever they wanted."

"Here, we end up with this dog-ate-my-homework type of excuse and everyone thinks Canelo was doing drugs. It is plausible that he did not intentionally cheat. Nobody can say for sure if there was intent or not. He could have used Clenbuterol for three months and there are still traces in his body. Or he could have eaten tainted meat.

"But these are multi-million-dollar athletes. I’d be shipping in fresh meat from someone other than Mexico. They had to know this was a possibility."

So, we will never be sure if it was intentional or not, if they do accept Canelo's excuse it doesn't mean he is innocent, far from it.

But what we can be sure of Canelo tested positive for this banned substance, a performance enhancer.

But, but, but.. ..Pac is the A side Meth.

Pac should just have eaten some tacos from Tijuana or Juarez and use that as an excuse. Then we would of had all these Pac accusers trying to justify his dirtiness.

Funny, since you are one of the accusers around here saying Pac was on roids without ever coming out dirty. Canelo comes out dirty and he should have the benefit of the doubt. LOL. No wonder he looked muscular in his previous camp. He has being juicing for quite some time.

Have you seen Alvarez's physique lately? He's bulky as and jacked to the max. He's so big Freddie Roach didn't think he would make the 160 limit for his last fight with GGG. I know a great way to keep on the muscle and absolutely shred every ounce of fat.... Clenbuterol.

N17, the bolded part from Conte quote is basically saying what IsaL's been saying, that "nobody can say for sure" or he could have eaten tainted meat.

No one's denying that he tested positive. As to how that will taint him, it's hard to say. As far the possible things he could have tested positive for, this particular substance has a certain amount of plausible deniability to it, especially considering him being in Mexico. That's not to say he's innocent or that he's a cheater. As much as you wish there wasn't a grey area to this result, that's what we have here. This is of course going to be a storyline now going into the rematch, and hopefully over the next several weeks we'll develop some sort of a consensus as to why or how he tested positive for it.

And contaminated meat is not Canelo's excuse, that came from the director of the lab, backed up by the WBC President and cited by GBP in their press release. So it's complete fiction to continue to state that Canelo has used contaminated meat as an excuse.

Call 702-486-2575 and tell the Nevada boxing commission and Bob Bennett that you want a fair fight, with neutral judges, no corruption like the first fight. Tell him that El Pollo should be required to take extra testing for roids...............and a neutral referee and ban Byrd for good!

That had a lot to do with him needing to put on weight to fight Chavez at 164.5, then coming back down to 160. With this coming out about the positive test of Clenbuterol, I am as interested to anyone to see how this is explained and dealt with. I'm not blindly claiming he's innocent, I simply don't know what happened. Over the next several weeks hopefully we'll get some answers and will have more of a sense of what happened.

As many as it takes! I have spoken with Bob Bennett personally about the last fight, he knows what I think! Bob said Byrd was one of the best boxing judges judging boxing today! No joke, he said he picked her because she is such an excellent judges, that all her judging has been excellent, except for the Golovkin/El Pollo fight, she just had it wrong that night. I told him she has been corrupt for many years............I am sick and tired of corrupt boxing.................Oscar is a crook, now El Pollo has tested positive, VADA did not clear him, but they did clear Povetkin! Haymon's WBC refused to allow Povetkin to fight Wilder anyway, Povetkin too dangerous for Widler...........

That was Freddie Roach pre Canelo vs GGG. He's already been exonerated and the fight with GGG is going ahead as usual... in less than 24 hours... they are trying to sweep this under the rug hardcore. Alvarez should be replaced with either Jacobs 2 or Billy Joe Saunders.

Just interested, do you think Alvarez is deliberately cheating? Or has he simply consumed some tainted meat?

This forum has proved that the answer to this question is whether or not you're a fan of the fighter.

If someone is a Canelo fan they'll say it's tainted meat. If someone is a GGG fan they'll say it's juicing.

Not true, I've always been a Canelo fan, but am now of the impression that him taking Clenbuterol makes perfect sense.
