Yes. So he wasn’t cleared other than by his national cycling association.

He got a two year suspension and was stripped of his 2010 Tour de France win.

Shadow is an ardent clenelo defender who doesnt have anything to back up what he says, so he will reply with a great wall of text which doesn't say anything in particular but he will claim it shows clenelo is innocent

He got the two year suspension for several reasons, which are relevant since we're comparing this situation to Canelo. We need to examine why Contador was suspended and the timeline involved.

The CAS determined the positive test was more likely to have been caused by the ingestion of a contaminated food supplement than by the ingestion of contaminated meat" and that there was no evidence that Contador "acted with no fault or negligence".

So anotherwords, after a long multi-year investigation, they suspected he was not telling the truth, they didn't buy his ridiculous story about having a friend bringing him meat from Spain in France. Also, he tested positive during the actual competition (on a rest day) where they suspected him of using a clenbuterol supplement to gain an advantage.

Canelo's detractors are bringing up Contador trying to act like the two situations are in any way similar, trying to act like since Contador was banned for 2 years Canelo should be banned, without looking at what actually happened with Contador and why he was suspended.

So if we're going to look at these other cases involving clenbuterol, then lets not just gloss over the details of the case and try to use the Contador suspension to argue that Canelo should be suspended. The circumstances of that situation was different than what happened to Canelo, so we need to treat it as such.

If we're going to look at the Contador situation, then we need to also look at other cases involving clenbuterol positive tests like what happened with Dimitrij Ovtcharov who was cleared after the investigation found it was a result of contaminated meat. We need to understand that each of these situations were investigated and the results of the investigation determined whether or not a suspension was warranted, whether or not wrongdoing was found.

The point is he was has never been cleared as you stated. He was severely punished for his positive test of clen with a ban and stripping of wins in the Tour de France and Giro.

Why don't you and N17 get together and have yourself a pity party where you complain all day about how long my posts are and talk about how cool it is to have to block people on a forum because you can't discuss a topic rationally.

I don't know what your issue is with my posts, but whatever your problem is, get over yourself. The other day I thought we had a productive exchange. My "great walls of text" usually involve discussing critical details of a subject that are being ignored where it is necesary to the topic. You look at my last several posts here, I'm bringing up important relevant information related to these other clenbuterol cases that Canelo detractors are trying to ignore because it doesn't fit their agenda.

I mean it's unbelivable for so many people to bring up Cantador but then be threatened by the details of why he got suspended, and trying to ignore what caused him to be suspended and trying to relate what he did to the Canelo situation. I suggest you change your attitude and start paying attention to the details surrounding these other cases involving clenbuterol that you and many others seem to be ignoring.

Well he was cleared by the Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC) in mid-February 2011 allowing him to return to racing. I was providing you with the full timeline.

Do you understand my point as to why he was severely punished in 2012 and how this is important as it relates to Canelo? He was suspended because they found that it was not from contaminated meat, they were suspicious of his story, and the positive test was during an actual competition. The low level of the clenbuterol which was taken on a rest day during the tour de france convinced the CAS that he was intentionally taking a banned substance to gain a competitive advantage for the next day of the race. This was after a year and half investigation where they gathered all the facts and made that determination. And given the facts involved, I think he should have been suspended because it appears he was cheating taking a banned substance in a supplement during a competition.

You look at the Dimitrij Ovtcharov situation, he was cleared because they determined he tested positive due to meat contamination. Understand why Contador was suspended and why Ovtcharov wasn't.

Please explain how providing details from other cases of clenbuterol is BS. I have pointed out the reasons why Contador was suspended. That's important, no?

I'm sharing information about the Contador case, what actually happened, why he was suspended. It was mostly citing text from those articles. Complaining about the length of my posts is pretty hilarious and it indicates to me that you are threatened by the details of the Contador case and how it differs from the Canelo situation.

Clenelo has Uncle Oscar in his fishnets protecting his pert, tight, six o'clock, Contador did not.

You never answered the bulk of my questions i posed to you earlier, you would cherry pick a tiny point or two and go off on 2000 word tangents e.g. fillibustering the thread
