Obviously there's a bunch of retired greats that you can put above Canelo.

But in the game right now, I don't think there's anyone at 160-168 that can challenge him.

175 is a different story. But just having the balls to fight guys that are like 5-7 inches taller and have massive reach advantage is impressive. And as I've said I don't think there's a current boxer with a better record since he fought Floyd. Maybe Pac.

Well, even the same prime Kovalev version had get his title after fighting vs boxer from U.K in U.K. Then he had fought in Canada, U.S, Russia.
Canelo had in the ring old Kovalev who even barely had survived vs Yarde, this is what this is. If Yarde had not been tired and most likely already started to gass out, I think Yarde had won after these 2 very brutal for Kovalev rounds.

Even the same Ottke had fought vs Branco after he in his last fight had defeated U.K boxer Reid in Scotland, so even with this is enough not to dream " Ottke fough nobody ". Ottkes amateur resume alone urinates on bunch with well known pro boxers resumes too.

I don't know is Canelo able now to make 160 lbs for weigh ins and he fights only in US on A side.
He should beat Plant, looks that 168 lbs is comfortable for him and I did not had saw his casual cherry picking in his last 2 most notable fights at 168 lbs.

    Golovkin 3
    Beterbiev
    Bivol

are my top 3 picks, depending on how GGG looks against Murata.

Benavidez and Charlo I'd also like to see.

Andrade doesn't interest me at all.

I don't really care frankly. Whatever weight he can make. I think Golovkin would be fine at 168.

I think so too. Less weight cutting involved at this of his career is probably better for his health.

The problem is all the others have thin resumes because the business plan is grab a belt and hope Canelo wants it.

If they fought each other in the meantime, the one who came out the best would have enough gravity to level the playing field and the right experience to win.

It a lose lose fight for Canelo at this point.

People already saying he waited to long for the FIRST fight lol.

Noone is gonna give him props for beating this version of G. And if he loses... He loses to a really washed G.

That being said I wouldn't be mad at that fight.... It wouldn't be my first choice for either guy though.

I'd rather see GGG vs Charlo or Andrade.
I'd rather see Canelo vs Benavidez, Bivol or Beterbiev.

Tired of everyone waiting with their belt for Canelo, while ducking all the other champs... And at the same time saying Canelo is "ducking" them.
