He made HUGE adjustments. Saunders was boxing great some rounds but Canelo completely figured him out. This is a difficult style for Canelo and I think he deserves respect.

yea he has my respect if hes doing it legit... i question how he is suddenly a dangerous puncher vs these big guys like kovalev smith etc.. when he couldn't hurt some smaller guys years ago... its not a great look tbh..

Canelo was getting lit up in the previous round, hit one solid shot that broke BJS orbital bone and was smelling the blood, he didn't figure anything out.

I'll admit. This clearly shows slick fighters and movers STILL give him issues. It shows that Mayweather at 147 would still hypothetically probably beat Canelo if Canelo weight drained himself like he did in their real fight. this was not one sided. Saunders legit boxed a great fight in the mid rounds and made Canelo miss a LOT. But Canelo imposed himself and kept digging at the body and that work starting showing up imo. I even think Saunders schooled him in one of the rounds. But ultimately it did not matter

Canelo starting taxing that ass and starting to time Saunders head movement and that was that.

We knew this was one of if not the toughest matchups at 168 for him, undefeated multi-weight champ, and he got it done.

This wasn't the one to earn style points on, just prove he can get past a slick southpaw and he did it by KO. Great night for his legacy.

Of course he deserves respect. He's one of the best fighters out there right now.

Nevertheless he didn't figure anything out in the first 7 rounds. He was behind after 7 on any reasonable scorecard and had a very big 8th round where he turned the table. Credits for that. Great performance in the last round.

He got the timing down and threw a perfect shot. He then proceeded to beat the **** out of Saunders

You have to respect a guy that is visibly smaller framed than everyone he fights 160+ but apparently hits harder than all of them except Golovkin/Kovalev (still naturally bigger men).
Even Ryder commented yesterday that Canelo was smaller sized than he expected.
Tonight Saunders was clearly bigger and has hurt tough top fighters, so does have some pop, but Canelo again hit significantly harder and basically one-punched a victory.

You have to respect his natural ability!
