Cutting weight like canelo does will catch up with him at some stage and he will take a beating from a lesser fighter. As canelo ages it will get more difficult to cut weight and have more adverse effects on him. He should move up to mw limit and i think he will benefit from it. He seems to have to pace himself very strictly in fights and cant put his foot down which will himder him badly at some stage

He has much more ballz the triple bum too. Why don't 3BUM move up 2 classes for a huge fight like Amir Khan?

Is it because Khan's got bigger stones than triple quack?

That's a lot of lies spread out for a supposedly prideful fighter like Canelo.

For the WBC title to be on the line, it didn't have to be "in the margin of the middleweight". It could have been on 154 lbs, just like when WBC 154 title was on the line for Mayweather/Maidana II which took place at 147.

That would have been even a bigger shame. The WBC allowed him a voluntary defense of his 160 belt before he has to fight GGG and then he would fight Khat at 154...

Why couldn't Canelo defend the MW title at 154? Didn't Cotto defend his MW title below 155?

No, Cotto defended the title vs Geale at 157 and defended it at 155 for Canelo.

He weighed-in below 154 vs Canelo but the weight limit there was 155.

I don’t see any lies from Canelo, I think you’re trying to find areas to criticize Canelo on.

You exposed yourself with this statement, because it shows you don’t know what is allowed and what isn’t allowed.

Had Canelo fought Khan for his MW title at a “catchweight” of 154, it would have been allowed but it would be nothing close to as bad as what Floyd did for Mayweather/Maidana II.

The problem with Mayweather/Maidana II wasn’t that Floyd was able to defend the 154-lb title at 147. That would have been allowed, though in effect it’s much worse than Canelo Khan, as that’s a whopping 7 lbs below that division’s limit, while Canelo Khan is only 5 lbs below that division's limit.

The problem in Mayweather Maidana II was the fact that 147-lbs titles were also on the line in that same fight as the 154-lb title .. at 147-lbs. That is against the commissions own rules. That’s way worse than a catchweight.

I agree that it didn't have to be "in the margin of the middleweight” for Canelo’s title to be defended. You’re right that he could have defended the MW title at 154, but Canelo didn’t want to do that, he wanted to defend solidly it in the division for which that title is held. And remember, before you start criticizing Canelo for not defending it at 160, realize that Khan would not have agreed to this fight had it been at 160 lbs or really any weight above 155.
