    What a moment for Canelo to become a two-time Ring Magazine Middleweight Champ and being presented with the Ring Magazine Pound for Pound #1 Title.

    What a sight to see both of those prestigious Ring Magazine belts over each shoulder. Canelo is approaching legendary status following his conquering and dethroning of Gennady "Little G" Golovkin.

    Canelo Alvarez is the King of Boxing.

    He's p4p #3 online. How does this work? Ring magazine going to follow the WBA and have multiple p4p #1 titles?

    The magazine is currently owned by ODH his promoter.

    His best wins* are all contentious decisions & most likely pre determined barring a KO.

    His rise whether you're a fan or not has been contrived & dogged with controversy..

    Excellent fighter yes but the best in boxing? No. GGG beat him. Sorry.

    He's taking the plaudits but here is the thing,
    The belts and those baubles have a hollow ring,
    From adalaide Byrd to the Ring committee,
    Canelo only wins when it's done unfairly,
    He's a good boxer but there's one thing to note,
    If your stacking the decks there's no reason to gloat,

    He is definitely among the "5 best fighters in the world" sort of deal at worst. Could be #1. I tend to think the Golovkin/failed test thing has actually made people underrate the rest of his resume. Among all active fighters, including folks 10 years older, his resume entirety is among the very best at the moment, it just is... The way the WBC talks about him, and always has, is dreadful. It isn't even laughable. As for Ring Magazine, I hate to say "who cares" about it. Corny stuff like this video I never like it, let the ring work do the telling.
