PRETTY MUCH. An under sized Cotto was whooping in there until around the 9th,10th when cotto always religiously gasses, up to that point it was a close fight with Cotto probably leading by a point or two, then the reamining 4 trout man handled and undersized and gassed Cotto to make it a UD.

Trout will be gun shy as he was with cotto until the 9th, and he was with Delvin the full 12, Trout will be gunshy when all that body work and pressure is on him, when the combos are hitting him in unseen spots, a KD and KO is likely.

Also, His footwork is mediocre as well, Lara has way better footwork Trout ain't no heavy hitter, he will rely on trying to eek a decision against a power puncher like Canelo, all on the backfoot he doesn't have the great boxing ability to do this for 12 rounds as shown with cotto who when being agressive stole rounds and made it close, an undersized Cotto, he gets lazy on the ropes, he lets the other unleash combos, etc. His best momements were past the 9th when cotto gassed and his size advantage over him was most apparant.

    Canelo MID -Late TKO

If de la hoya thought that would even be a close fight he would make it.

Ill take trout to stop canelo or trout on a wide ud.

I love how Floyd's detractors cherry pick their boogie monster for Floyd. A few wks ago it was Pac who was the monster Floyd was avoiding. All of a sudden it's Canelo. Smh.

The truth is all the big name fighters are cherry picking. It's hard to think of an A-lister who hasn't cherry picked in recent times! I can only think of Mares. Maybe Ward as well.

Pac: Yes, JMM has always been tough for him but Team Pac felt they could KO a 40 yr old man and didn't want to face Bradley again. The plan obviously backfired.
Floyd: Stays inactive, always on the lookout for tough but very, very beatable opponents
Sergio: He's fighting Murray? Who is that?
Donaire: Nishioka and Arce are both OLD and washed up
Froch: Yes, he has fought good competition in the past but Mack is still a cherry picked opponent no matter what you say
Canelo: Beats up J. Lopez. Really? A blown up welterweight? Embarrassing for Canelo
JMM: Hate to say it but if he fights Pac again which is likely, it's cherry picking because he's trying to rack up wins over a fading legend and not take a risk in fighting Bradley or Rios

    "Considering"!?
We know what that really means when given that answer..

Hopefully I'm wrong but Cotto's huge fanbase gives Canelo('s team) the 'smart business move'-reasoning to pick Cotto instead of Trout.

Even Floyd seems to prefer less money-fight instead of Big one with Alvarez..

(Cotto's wins after 2008 Margarito loss are Jennings, Clottey, Foreman, Mayorga v.2011 and Margarito v.2011..)

Doc what the hell u talking about? Trout swept Cotto prob 9 rds to 3, 8 rds to 4 at best. Cotto had moments in the last 30 seconds of some rds but it was a shut out. No idea what fight u were watching :/

    The real two reasons are...

    1. He want never fight someone that has a chance.

    2. He's a *****.

    Not to this degree..

We always know the result of a Mayweather fight before it even happens
    because he fights bs guys.
I can name 5-7 guys right now from 140-154 that I would be excited to see Floyd fight but Floyd's a scared ***** so instead he fights Robert.

mayweather will never fight canelo. He'll go for the smaller fighter in Guerrero. Canelo hits too hard and that worries floyd.

imo, if that was canelo in there with trout and he put up the identical performance as cotto canelo wouldve been the one winning the UD.

keep this in mind when you put your hard-earned money on trout.

austin will have to completely dominate to get a decision against the gbp protected one...aka la perra corriendo.
