What GGG (allegedly) said about the water bottle does match up. In the early rounds of the rematch, Sanchez was giving him water from a clear plastic bottle with a blue cap. At the end of the 4th round, though, Sanchez switched to a different bottle of water, a larger white water bottle with NSAC written on it. After drinking that water, GGG's performance does appear to drop off. In the beginning of the 5th, after drinking that water from the new water bottle, he doesn't look the same as he did the previous round. By the end of the 5th, you can see GGG is all of a sudden hocking loogies in the corner, spitting out mucus, looking very bothered by the new water Sanchez is giving him, he also has his eyes fixated on this white water bottle like "wtf is this water"? He doesn't say anything to Sanchez about it, but his body language does indicate he does not like this new water and it's affecting him.

After the water bottle change, you can definitely notice a difference in GGG's breathing and demeanor. Maybe GGG really did need his preferred water, and without it, his performance was affected. Saying that Sanchez poisoned his water is a bit over dramatic, but it does appear that there was a water bottle change after Round 4 that messed him up which is consistent with those quotes.

For those of you who also struggle to wade through Shadow's verbose musings, and sans the passive/aggressive 'saying it by not saying it', he means:

There was something (probably illegal*) in GGG's original bottle of water which was aiding his performance.

    This is gold

    Absolutely amazing

Corruption in boxing does not exist but spiking water of a member of the same team does :duh

No, unlike you, I have no reason to doubt that GGG had a legitimate complaint about the water bottle change. He likely expected to drink his preferred water the entire fight. Maybe there was only 1 bottle of his preferred water and it ran out after round 4, so Sanchez switched to a new bottle. What occurred in the corner matches the quotes, but to accuse Sanchez of intentionally poisoning him seems a bit dramatic. But it's very apparent that he did have a problem with the water from the white "NSAC" water bottled used after round 4. Why else would be hocking loogies. Take a look for yourself :

(the first clip is at the end of Round 2 with the clear water bottle, the next clip is after Round 4, where the white "NSAC" water bottle is introduced and handed to Sanchez, then after round 5, then after round 7)

GGG does not look good in the corner after drinking from that new water bottle.

    Such a hilarious back track.

You know - if you ever met - Canelo wouldn't like you, don't you? Bad mix of personality types...

Back track? I'm showing evidence from the corner that is consistent with the quotes that you and many others believe are fake. Clearly there was a water bottle change after Round 4, clearly GGG starts breathing heavily after drinking it, becoming more red in the face, he's seen staring intently at the new water bottle after Round 5, a white water bottle with the words NSAC written on it, as opposed to the clear water bottle he was drinking from in the early rounds, then after drinking from the white "NSAC" water bottle, he starts hocking loogies in the corner, clearly developing a lot of mucus in his throat after drinking the water. What more do you need to validate those quote as describing precisely what happened in the corner with the water bottle change?

That pretty clearly verifies that there was a water bottle change in the exact round that the quotes said there was, and clearly GGG looks worse for wear after drinking water from the new "NSAC" white water bottle. All this only strengthens the validity of the quotes, they match up with what happened in the corner.

So you don't believe GGG complained about the water bottle switch? Do you believe GGG wasn't affected by drinking out of NSAC water bottle instead of his own personal water that he was drinking from before Round 4? Clearly GGG looked in bad shape in the corner after drinking from the NSAC water bottle. You wouldn't deny that, right?

I'm showing that what happened in the corner is entirely consistent with what those quotes described. You agree with that right?

He drinks the water from the NSAC white water bottle starting after Round 4, after drinking the NSAC water, he's seen in the corner all of a sudden taking deep breaths, turning red as a tomoto, then he starts hoching loogies. Why would getting punched cause him to start hoching loogies and clearing his throat like that? It's very odd, there was a definite water bottle switch, and he seemed to be very affected by it. It makes total sense that GGG would have fired Sanchez for giving him NSAC-provided water rather than his own preferred personal water that he told him he only wanted to drink from that particular water bottle.

You're in denial that GGG said that, but yet what he said about the water bottle switch matches up to what happened in the corner.
