It does, there clearly was a water bottle change after Round 4, which is when the quote said there was. Instead of drinking from his water bottle as he was in the early rounds, Sanchez's assist pulled out a NSAC water bottle after Round 4 and he drank water from that NSAC water bottle from that point on. And we can see him suffering in the corner after drinking that water. All this is consistent with the quotes. Everything seems to match up to what happened in the corner. He must have felt like he was being poisoned by being given the NSAC water, instead of his own water that he told Sanchez to give him. I don't know about you, but if I was in the fight of my life, I wouldn't want my trainer switching to a foreign NSAC provided water bottle mid-way through the fight and being forced to drink that water instead of drinking my preferred water.
Don't you think that GGG would have been upset at Sanchez for not giving him his water for the entire fight? Don't you think that would have been something that caused GGG to fire Sanchez? If in fact GGG said beforehand to Sanchez to use this particular bottle of water and only this water, and then in Round 4 when he needed more water Sanchez switches to an unknown (to GGG) bottle of water that was provided to them by the NSAC that he isn't used to drinking, GGG would have a valid complaint if Sanchez didn't make sure he got "his" water for the entire fight. Now if you ask me, I'm guessing what likely happened is that Sanchez only had 1 small bottle of GGG's water, and after Round 4, the water in the bottle that GGG gave him and told him to give him "ran out" and Abel may have been forced to switch to the NSAC water bottles as a backup since his preferred water ran out. My guess is that Sanchez didn't have a "2nd" clear bottle of GGG's water and when it ran out, and had to switch to the NSAC "backup" water bottle. That's probably what GGG was mad about, that Sanchez forgot to fill up additional bottles of GGG's preferred water when 1st bottle ran out. But in typical GGG "drama show" fashion, GGG in his home region interview exaggerated what happened and made it sound like Sanchez intentionally poisoned his water. That's what I laughed about when I first read that quote. But intentionally poisoning him was just GGG being "too dramatic" (after all he's the big drama show) about it, when in reality what probably happened was Abel just forgot to fill up a 2nd small bottle of GGG's water when the first bottle ran out. So GGG would have a legitimate complaint that Sanchez didn't make sure he had enough of his his preferred water so he could drink that water the entire fight, and instead because of Sanchez's mistake he was forced to drink the nasty water from the NSAC provided "backup" water bottles. Which made GGG feel like he was being poisoned compared to how he feels when he drinks his own water. But to not want to been seen by American fans as making excuses like complaining about the water he was given, and to not create a spectacle of Sanchez and GGG parting ways, these interviews that were done in GGG's home region where he went into detail about what happened are not available online (certainly not to English speaking countries) and were never translated, so no one ever knew about what GGG said until this Russian youtuber made that video, because he saw it in Russia where maybe it was on TV or available through their internet, at least at one time. That's my best guess as to what happened here. There's a lot of pieces to this puzzle, of what happened with the water bottle switch, but what is clear is that clearly the water bottle was switched to an NSAC provided water bottle starting after Round 4. That part about the quote isn't fake, that clearly happened. The question is why or how did that happen. Was it an honest mistake by Sanchez to not have a backup supply of GGG's preferred water, or was it an intentional poisoning as GGG claimed. Perhaps GGG was just being dramatic about that, but it's understandable by GGG or Sanchez for that matter wouldn't want to talk about the water bottle switch in public. GGG wouldn't want to be seen as making excuses about why he lost, and Sanchez wouldn't want it to be out there that GGG accused him of poisoning his water at worst or forgetting to have enough of GGG's water at ring side at best. Think about it, if GGG believes that the NSAC is corrupt, as some of his other quotes indicated that's what he believes (in another interview he mad eit seem like the NSAC "allowed" Canelo to take a pill on stage after making weight which he suspected might have been a PED or something. So based on that, and some of his other comments, it's clear that GGG is wary of the commission and how they do business. With tht in mind, surely GGG would have been worried about anything that the NSAC would do, and the last thing he woudl want to do is be forced to drink "NSAC" water from an NSAC provided water bottle during the biggest fight of his life. Being forced to drink NSAC water instead of his own water that he told Sanchez to make sure he gave him, would naturally be something that would upset GGG (and rightly so) and would make him feel like that could have been why he lost and used as an excuse.
No Canelo is more proven at 168, he`s bigger and stronger than he was in his last fight v GGG and GGG was bullied by Sergiy Derevyanchenko who isn`t even a super-middle.
This comment is really problematic, because you immediately assumed that I would accuse GGG of using "illegal" "PED" water or something that aided his performance. There are different types of water, and better, cleaner water would certainly aid your performance vs whatever water the NSAC provides. If you're forced to drink low quality water than you're used to, in the middle of a fight, that could certainly negatively affect your performance. Ask yourself, would you trust NSAC provided water bottles or would you want to drink water out of your own personal water bottles with water that you know and are used to? Lost on you it seems, is that I'm trying to be very fair and balanced here. I'm genuinely trying to figure out what happened and piece the puzzle pieces together into a plausible scenario. Now I've proven that the water bottle switch did in fact happen, and given how skeptical much of this forum is when it comes to the NSAC and the corruptions that fans accuse them of, why wouldn't you be suspicious or complain about GGG being forced to drink from a bottle of NSAC-provided water instead of his own water that he's used to? I mean hell people make up all kinds of nonsense about what the NSAC is capable of. Fixing fights, paying off judges, all that's par for the course and accepted as pretty much fact around here. But an NSAC-provided water bottle in his corner's bag "poisoning" GGG, or negatively affecting his performance, that to you is just too far fetched? If NSAC is capable of fixing fights, rigging decisions, paying off judges, allowing fighters to get away with using PEDs (all things that many posters on here believe with all their heart and soul occurs) then wouldn't you be suspcious of GGG being forced to drink their water? You know water bottles provided from the "corrupt" NSAC, the same commission who some say would do anything to ensure that Canelo wins. At the very least, you should be aware that GGG was forced to drink "NSAC" water starting after round 4 and that would surely cause him to be upset at Sanchez especially if he told him beforehand to only give him his water in his water bottle. And no, that doesn't mean GGG was using "illegal" water or something with PEDs in it, no all that means is that he has his preferred water that's probably cleaner, and more beneficial to his performance than whatever kind of water the NSAC provided. Maybe the NSAC water was warm, and GGG likes his water cold, for example. Maybe he likes a particular kind of water that he's used to. And if he doesn't have that between rounds, it could affect his stamina or conditioning. Ever think of that?
GGG may have been so upset by this water switch mid-way through the fight, that could explain why he stormed off without giving an interview. Maybe he was physically sick from the NSAC water. Maybe he was physically sick from the water and furious at Sanchez for not giving him his water the entire fight after he told him to beforehand, but didn't want to make a scene about it, and didn't want to be seen as making excuses about why he lost. Maybe the water controversy was the main reason why he stormed off without giving an interview. I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt to GGG as it pertains to the water switch. I'm not just dismissing those quotes from that Russian youtube channel about what GGG allegedly said as fake or a hoax like others have. This water revelation matches up to what happened in the corner and puts into perspective what happened after the fight. Now just because GGG might have a legitimate complaint about the water, that doesn't excuse GGG from accusing Sanchez of "poisoning" him if in fact it was just an honest mistake. That doesn't justify GGG's other comments about what he said about Canelo and his team being like the mafia. But now after seeing that the water bottle change did in fact happen, now I can begin to understand the source of GGG's anger about what happened there, and him wondering if there was a plot to poison him. It wouldn't be the first time a boxer said he was poisoned in his corner. If he is wary of the NSAC to begin with, GGG strikes me as the kind of a guy who would be very particular of his water, and being forced to drink NSAC water in the corner that he isn't used to drinking, I could see how that would infuriate him. But that's no excuse for what he said about Canelo and his team. If it was an honest mistake by Sanchez to not have enough of his water, that's reason to be upset, but for him to say that he's 99% sure that Sanchez was in on a plot with Canelo's team to poison his water, that's a whole nother level of accusations. That's where GGG's legit complaint turns into an overly dramatic extreme conspiracy theory.
I realized GGG was fake a long ass time ago. He confirmed it even more when he shooed away some friendly fans trying to meet him after I believe it was a Kovalev fight.
I know it's crazy isn't it. Finally people are seeing the true GGG, not the fake "nice guy" persona but the side of him that he covers up, the side of him that he doesn't want the fans to see. GGG works very hard maintaining a happy go lucky image, but now we know the real GGG.
Who cares if hes a good guy according to someone's opinion of him anyway. This isent a personality contest this is boxing
