Yep I tend to agree Belt's are like Ass Holes everyone has one...and cant wait to the fight in 2017 also...and if Canelo defeats Golovkin I will give Him massive Praise and Creedence for it...but if Golovkin Wins against a Prime Canelo at an age of 35 will you do the same for Golovkin.!!!!

If Golovkin beats Canelo he would have been reedemed in my perspective, and if he continued to seek the best possible match ups sincerely I will go back to being a fan like I use to be.

I would love the two to compromise. I feel Golovkin is the best MW in the world right now.

That being said Canelo is the champion and the A side. As much as I don't like it, he's gonna dictate terms which he proved when he vacated the WBC belt.

I do fear that unless Golovkin concedes every issue the fight will never happen. It then comes to who needs it more.

Golovkin gains recognition as lineal champion if anyone still cares about that.

Canelo gains a victory over a perceived killer.X

Imo Golovkin should just accept whatever offer he can then if he wins he becomes the A side.

It has to be 60/40 Canelo's favour...if they can come to those terms fight will be made I think...it is one fight I am looking forward to...even more than Kovalev V Ward.!!!!

I still am not convinced that there is any ppv upside in the offer, otherwise I agree that the offer is OK. Not necessarily good, but still GGG's best option.

If, like me, people still see the sanctity of being a true champion and being the man that beat man and having the prestige that comes alongside that honour.

If people didn't recognise all the paper belts that are decided outside of the ring and saw right through the bs label of champion that is thrown around.

If every single man and his dog refused to see Golovkin as champion unless he beats Canelo.

If the sport of boxing went back to those days, big fights like this will have happened by now.

Yep 25 Years ago Golovkin V Canelo probably would have been like Gatti V Ward and fought 3 times by now...was privileged to see the Golden Years.!!!!!

I thought it was a flat 10mil offer with no PPV upside? I am a GGG fan but I think in terms of Split 70/30 seems about fair.

The biggest problem with belts now is the contenders have an inflated sense of worth.

Let's just compare this to the HW division half a century back.

Floyd Patterson won a vacant belt against a LHW. everyone knew Liston was the best in the world but Patterson had the belt.

Liston campaigned for years to get his title shot and finally got it. imagine if Liston would have said "actually Floyd ill only fight you if I get 40% plus PPV"

I get its different today but only because people let it be different. If everyone ignored the belts and worried nky about who beat the previous champion , the sport would be a lot better.

:risas3: Ho-Hum... Another week, another BS Press Release by Cocaine O$car/GBP/Canelo trying to convince the PUBLIC that Canelo is credible.

:bandit: El Polo Loco's reputation is in the DUMPSTER thanks to COCAINE O$car's mis-management !!!

It's been a DESASTER since day one... O$car's been running amok, avoiding... Canelo fighting GGG like a PLAGUE.
All we hear is one EXCUSE after ANOTHER from this bunch. YADA YADA YADA... all TALK !

:loel:These CLOWNS need GGG much more than GGG needs Canelo. That's why THEY keep "STIRRING THE POT" !

IMO... Unless GBP accepts reality, GGG will sit back and watch Canelo

    SLOWLY FADE AWAY.

LOL Holyfield-Tyson was 20 years ago. You are aware that $1 today isn't equal to $1 20 years ago right? There are so many uneducated ******s on this forum it is hilarious.
