Created his own weight class of 155 where he would defend the 'championship' against handpicked opponents.

Ran from his Mandatory because he was painted into a corner and couldn't enforce his 155 weight class in a Mandatory situation THEN proceeded to hand his belt over AFTER saying he wasn't going to drop the belt and he wasn't scared of fighting GGG

After dropping the WBC belt he said he needed more time to 'prepare' for 160 but then proceeded to drop down to 154 to fight some Brit Bum nobody had heard of where he sold 250k PPV's in a promotion that lost Golden Boy in excess of 10 million dollars.

Now, he is trying to schedule a fight a YEAR in advance with a 'flat fee' for the opponent (that he supposedly isn't scared to fight but he is trying to draw the fight out as long as possible)

Has any fighter not named Riddick Bowe gone to such extreme measures to avoid a fight? That list is very short.

This fight should have happened a year ago. Oscar and Canelo need to quit running just accept the fight and get brutally KOed and get it over with. There is no reason this fight can't be made for May of 2017. None. But it won't happen because Canelo is a fraud and scared to fight.

Your argument makes sense upon cursory glance. But if you were right, then it would not matter to Goldenboy/Canelo if the offer was flat fee or a percentage split. But they insist on a flat fee, it's a life and death matter to them. Why do you think?

the fight should have happened a year ago? lol....well ya...maybe...on golovkins time....golovkin is the guy with the garbage resume at 34 years old who cant sell ppvs.....a year ago canelo was 25 and doing big ppv numbers with cotto ...with a pretty nice resume to boot....that's what you fail to realize...canelo is 26 and he aint about to work on gggs time.....canelo is 26 and just did 50k in tickets and about 300k in ppvs against a nobody...he don't need the bumdog for anything....according to all the bumdog fans all the Mexicans were supposed to turn their backs on canelo but they really haven't

I truly don't think Canelo is a coward. This is Oscar trying to buy more bricks for his nose and Canelo is too loyal for his own d..AMN good with Oscar. Canelo should know a flat fee is a pure duck from Oscar. Yes Canelo will draw fans no matter who he fights but why should GGG take a flat fee when the other side ends up swimming in millions and MILLIONS more? Just make a fair offer of say 65/35 and make the fight before we all bail on this crap.
Heck at this point even a 75/25 would give GGG more than the flat fee and Oscar knows this bro

 

watch.....they might come with 8 mil next time...and u know what? u know what they'll say "who have you beaten? how many ppvs have you sold?"......ggg keeps giving them reasons to make bad offers and dodge the fight if they want to

if golden boy said "heres 8 mil take it or leave it"...and they stood behind "who have you beaten...what do u bring to the table for more money? how many times have you made 8 mil in a night" would they be crazy? I mean theyd have a legit gripe.....and the bumdog fans will complain that golden boy is avoiding the fight.....but they wont say "well maybe he should have tried to make that fight Jacobs that might have helped"

 

quit comparing the fight to may vs pac, ggg vs canelo does 1/4 as well as may vs pac. ggg needs to take the money and run, the problem is ggg has no one after he fights canelo. canelo on the other hand has options. imo ggg is playing the waiting game as much as canelo, ggg wants more money and canelo wants to get stronger and for ggg to get older.

ggg should call canelos bluff and fight him for 10 mil plus ppv %, what does he have to lose you ask, well this is where you have to admit ggg needs canelo more than canelo needs ggg. ggg wants to milk as much money as possible out of a canelo fight because he has 0 fight options that would make even close to a canelo fight purse.

best $$$$ case scenario is for ggg is to take the fight now, pray that it will be close or controversial leading to a 2nd and 3rd fight. cha ching!!!!!!
