So sick of hearing about this ****, and Golvokin's "inability" to get any kind of match made, with anyone, under any circumstances.

GGG has been 'brilliantly' managed to be seen as an 'unbeatable' one-man wrecking ball with average PPV numbers. So hardly someone you'd rush to make a fight with. If he'd stepped up the level of opposition earlier in his career and maybe suffered a loss or been taken the distance in a close points win against a genuine elite name, he might now be seen as a better option and have a better profile. No elite fighter wants their revenue stream cut off at source without a hefty purse to soften the blow, so why would you bother with GGG when you can earn more with less risk against other opponents? Soon enough, his reluctance to fight anyone of note (unless its entirely on his terms and without moving up or down in weight) will see promoters turn attention elsewhere. It's not long before GGG stops being relevant, if he ever was...

Definitely not CJ. I think Canelo may or may not want the fight, but Oscar knows better, and Golovkin's style is all wrong for Canelo (even if Golovkin lacked the serious power).

Would be great if Golovkin called their bluff, though.

    That'd be awesome!
And besides, I just read today that Canelo doesn't even care if he gets stripped for not fighting GGG. That in itself tells you something about Canelo...

I actually think that's true. Oscar doesn't (or shouldn't) want Canelo facing Golovkin, whether it's 155 or 160.

It's worth noting that the case was filed in 1998, and it wasn't until 2003 when he was awarded a large sum of money. This dragged on almost another year from then, but he never actually received the amount he was awarded in court - he settled for a lesser (and I believe undisclosed) amount.

Bit like this post irrelevant to current boxing.

Golovkin needs to drop to 155 honestly.

Canelo is obviously too much of a coward to ever agree to 160. Unless Golovkin indulges Canelo until he can't come up with any more excuses, Cowardelo will just run and run.

Golovkin should still win easily even at 155.

:admin Hhmmm... The WBC already lost once in court so I don't see them wanting a return bout !!!

:pI suspect the WBC to delay until they are on the courthouse steps...

    then

    look for a settlement.

If a written MANDATORY FIGHT agreement exists... and we are told both GBP and K2 have signed it, and that the WBC received a copy,

there's not much "wiggle room" left.

    ;)
