Canelo Should Avoid Boxers

He correctly won 2 out of 3 and only lost to the best in the sport. Either way,
there is no other name "pure boxer" in that division so Canelo will be alright.

He handled Lara and Trout pretty convincingly.

yup, slick black fighters own Canelo. Canelo doesn't have the reach, speed, or the footwork to compete with them. He was swinging and missing all night. I don't remember any significant punches to Lara's face. Pretty embarrassing.

 

Canelo has proved a lot by simply taking fights against the likes of Lara and Trout who are avoided by everyone else and can't sell out their own living rooms, regardless if you think he won or lost.

For the first 3 rounds(when Lara looked his best) Lara outlanded Canelo
30-17.

From rounds 4-12(after Lara started running) Canelo outscored Lara
80-69:yep

Let me guess, you also think Canelo/Trout was the biggest robbery of the year.

 

Canelo should avoid lefties until he gets away from starting everything with a jab. All night Canelo would throw the jab, Lara would circle outside of it, Canelo would attempt to catch him with a follow up left hook, Lara would continue to move to the far side of the ring.


Canelo did good later in the fight, getting more into a rhythm. I've seen him do it in sparring, but I've never seen him do it in a fight, it gives me hope he can apply pressure for his future at the higher weight division

I had it 117 - 111. Lara did not fight and when he did he threw baby punches, hell, a woman can hit much harder that Lara "The Coward". One left by Alvarez did more damage than all of Lara's punches put together............Lara was running like a hell.....................he was afraid to fight................you have to land punches to win a fight......................you could hear Alvarez' body punches, but you could not hear Lara's baby punches...........Lomachenko moved, but he also fought, he used lateral movement, the only thing Lara did was run, track & field. Lara deserved to lose, the only one fighting was Alvarez. I dare anyone to criticize Vladimir Klitschko for using his jab and knocking people out...................
