Canelo should be a shame of himself.

No GGG it's not doing the same thing at all. GGG was the logical fight and Canelo balked. Canelo, Saunders, Eubanks refused and Brook stepped up.

They both cowards I don't have a problem with admitting that, GGG duck Ward, but my focus now is on Canelo. I'll bash GGG after the Brook fight........:yep

Brook is thirty years old and I don't think that he wants to fight much longer, maybe two or three more years. Getting this payday will help him. Contrary to popular belief, I don't think that he is the best welter weight out there and I don't think that he believes that himself. He don't that struggle of trying to prove that without having a safety net of cash in case things don't go right. Losing to GGG is not a stain on him but losing to a Thurman or Spence is and could seriously diminish his money making abilities. I also think that 154 would end his career as a viable contender and reduce him to a gatekeeper. He don't want that so he is taking his shot for the money now and if he looks good then he sets himself up to make even more money. If by some miracle he wins, then the sky is the limit and he can write his own ticket. It's a business move on his part and I wish him the best.,

You just pull that out your a$$ and try an pass it off as fact. How do you figure that when Golovkin isn't as popular as Floyd,Cotto, or Canelo and can't even come up with bread to make decent fights already?

Maybe. Or maybe you're projecting. You're basically assuming he is worried he might not beat Thurman/Spence and wouldn't fight Golovkin if he had more belief in himself. You could be right but you have basically just made that up and have very little to base it on.

It could just as easily be the case that he actually does believe he's the best at 147 (he seems really confident imo). He probably is fighting Golovkin primarily for the money (and to outdo Khan) but I don't see why some people assume Thurman and Spence have anything to do with it. This is just the first time Brook had been offered a big money fight.

It seems like because a few fights of his fell through because of injuries and money, people will always assume he doubts his himself and is afraid of everyone. Even when he fights Porter in his back yard and signs up to fight Golovkin at 160, people still won't let go of those views.

Yeah, I hear you and your opinion is just as valid as mine. However, you never read where I gave any impression that I was talking facts. It's only my opinion and I'm standing on that. He had a chance to take the Spence fight but he didn't. Thurman is in the spotlight but he never gave him a serious shoutout because I don't think that Thurman would turn that fight down. I don't think that he is scared of Thurman or Spence but he can't afford to lose to them while a loss to GGG won't hurt him because he is expected to lose and if he avoids getting knocked out, it will enhance his career tremendously. He can then afford a loss at welter, not saying he will lose but he can afford to. In the meantime, the money from the GGG fight will give him a cushion. My other opinion is that if he decides to go to 154, he won't be able to hang.

Not even a Khan fan or a fan of that fight but, look at Khan's resume then look at Brook's if Kell fought as many quality fighters as Amir he'd have some L's to.
Real talk Khan has a better Welter resume than Brook and has only been there 3/4 fights. Devon,Chris, and Luis would be Kells best wins after Shawn.

    Big difference...

Canelo was offered a unification match with Golovkin. Instead he cowardly relinquished the title. Khan wanted the fight with Canelo too. What Canelo did & said after the Khan fight PROVES he is a lying coward with a big mouth

Goiovkin cannot find any ranked 160 pound middleweight with the cojones to fight him. Thank fully Brook has the cojones or there wouldn't be a fighjt at all.

Brook's promoter said they offered Spence's team the fight but they turned it down so I'm not sure what you're talking about there.

That works both ways though. I don't remember Thurman giving Brook a more serious shout out. Since beating Porter, Thurman has been calling out Garcia. I don't think Brook would turn down a fight with Thurman. Seemed like the plan was for Brook to fight Vargas, Thurman to fight Garcia and the winners to fight to establish the #1 spot at 147.

To an extent but that goes for many fighters including Thurman and Spence. They can't afford to lose to him either.

Thats because Golovkin isn't a draw cos he only fights bums and guys from two weights bellow him.
