Obviously you dont follow the sport much...

Canelo got a bit lucky, I will admit that after pac vacated the title, Williams got in a car wreck, Margaritos eye was ****ed up Cotto won the WBA title leaving him un ranked by the WBC.

Kirkland and Angulo both had their legal issues and such something like the top 5 were un available so that left it for the next man in line, Canelo...

Sure he hadnt beat anybody at that point but once he nabbed and defended it against Cintron and Mosley and Lopez he then moved on and beat undefeated WBA champ Austin Trout and did so with ease.

    he has earned his shot....

    No business at 154???

Dude is a 154 title holder :patsch :verysad

I also find it ironic that every one believes he will be out weighed by 20 pounds considering Floyd pulled some weight **** on Marquez. Man you guys really see Floyd as perfect and without fault.

Unless the WBC Mayweather's 147 championship and Alvarez's 154 championship makes them the same day weigh in is just an opition for TV.

    20 pounds?

that has nothing to do with anything other than fraud using it as an excuse.

hes the 154 wba super champ. fight canelo or give up the belt.

no self-proclaimed greatest ever would back down from the limited canleo.

ffs, floyds acting like hes getting in the ring with a killer like prime tito, vargas, ray leanord, hearns or terry norris.

    its ****ing canelo alvarez.

i cant think of a single mexican here in mexico that was thinking canelo was any sort of killer in the trout fight as he did nothing special and was noticeably smaller than trout.

in fact, if canelo doesnt knock down austin in the seventh round trout has a great case that he was robbed in the fight.

youre the only ***** idiot here defending floyd becasue there are no more idiots to be found.

    thats not how it works.

same day weigh-ins were done away with years ago.

and they are not going to enforce it to satisfy floyd and his *****s.

mayweather just needs to give up the 154 belt and let vanes, lara, kirkland, molina, canelo, trout and rosado fight for it.

because none of these guys are going to be asking for same day weigh-ins or re-hydration clauses so why should floyd...the self-proclaimed greatest ever?

the only thing floyd(a coward with skills) is the greatest ever at is winning fantasy fights.

molina didn't beat Lara in his worst night (the fight was almost cancel), the guy had a tooth infection couldn't train properly because Shields was with Rigondeaux in Ireland and still managed only a controversial draw, he was all busted up and got hurt in the 8 and 9 rounds and Lara didn't have a scratch on him, stop with the he beat Lara because he didn't, we could say that Trout beat Canelo too, but since it was promoted by GB and in Texas they gave the fight to Canelo, the fact of the matter is that the ginger hasn't done $h1t in the sport to demand anything, having a gift of a fight and looking horrible doesn't make him an elite, actually we have more question than answers about little red ridding hood...

All of what you are saying is BS, he got the title shot because his Godfather Sulaiman and DLH wanted it that way, they put an unranked WW to fight for the belt Mr. Hatton, then he fought Mr. Rhodes, Gomez (JWW) a known and shot to pieces quitter in Cintron, an old Mosley and little JWW Lopez, while Lara and Molina were available, the kid is the ducker here...

He should refuse to weight in so its not so obvious that size advantage is his only advantage against floyd, because Canelo wouldn't be in the top 5 of skilled opponents floyd has faced. Canelo lives of sacrificing stamina to make 154 and beat smaller men. Even his handlers don't trust him at 160 always saying hes only 22, only 22, only 22 broken record **** we hear everyday on esb. Canelo will be an average beltholder once he takes on 160-168. Will be like Segura looking like a monster vs Calderon and getting spanked when he faced a man his size and strenght

    GODAM THIS IS ANNOYING!!!
    Here's how I see it.
Canelo has been groomed up the most by being on Floyd's cards, recently he decided he's big enough to jump off and try building himself. That's fine, it was his and his team's choice. Oscar knows, just like the rest of us do that Canelo doesn't necessarily NEED the fight because he's so young, but he knows the math for success in boxing. Up and coming star + established star=much bigger star the other math is Up and coming star + established star + win= passed torch+his fans+new and established star=extreme success.
IMO Floyd doesn't NEED Canelo. Why? Because of the tags along with Canelo. He's an up and coming, young, hungry lion, with power and skill and one of the best in his division. I'm sure we've heard this before. Multiple times. And every time they lose it's the same thing, they were this or that or that over there and the win doesn't mean anything, he should've fought him or fight him instead- he's the real threat he's been ducking. Yes I think Canelo has skills. Yes I think he has potential. Yes I think its a good fight and yes I want to see it (at 154 so there's no excuses), but there's also the fact that Canelo is green, and huge. I think the weight disparity has to be considered as well; at the least Floyd will be 20lbs less, and if folks are so hoping for Floyd to lose that the only thing they can come up with is having him constantly be outweighed and in this case morbidly outweighed, that either shows how great Floyd is even nearing the tail end of his 30s and or how much they just want to see him lose. Either way, we have to consider who will really be selling the tickets and it will be Floyd for the most part, who is established, and ultimately who holds the cards and who is doing the calling out. Floyd holds the cards and Canelo wants them, that being said, it is his responsibility to fight who he is challenging at his weight IMO. Guys like Floyd and Manny ascend title belts, so this whole thing about "well Canelo has the belt at 154" is trash, that doesn't matter anymore to Floyd, he's not calling Canelo out, so why should he be expected to move up yet again, and be forced to fight a guy at a weight im sure we can all agree he looks lackluster at every time out for a belt he doesn't care about against a fighter actively seeking the much smaller guy.
In conclusion. Canelo wants the fight and has been calling out the smaller guy, fight him at the smaller weight or shut up. That's what Dawson did. I do want to see Floyd beat him at 154, but I dont think he's ducking if he doesn't and I dont even think he will get much credit if he were to win at either weight anyway, he always loses when he wins no matter what. Also, everyone blames Floyd for not cleaning out a division, but when he decides to stay at 147 and beat guys there, he's cherrypicking? C'mon guys you can't have it both ways. He just beat a top 4-5 welter, after everyone is saying he's old, cant move, lost speed, just came out of jail, he made him look silly, and now he's a runner. This is silly. I want to see Canelo keep fighting guys his own size, I picked him to lose last time out but he won, and although I admit the fight shouldve been razor thing the kd being the difference I have to say he looked good, and won. He needs to stop calling out smaller guys and fight guys his size, many of you guys concede how much competition is at 154, so why the hell isn't he considered ducking for not fighting them? He should be working on those guys, especially if he wants more cards to hold against a possible Floyd showdown, because right now a win over Trout is all he's done (allbeit a good win) and now that I think about it it's just about the same level win as Guerrero.
So please lets stop all this hypocracy!!
