    He was 35 ffs.
Canelo haters and Golovkin fanatics are two sides of the same coin , hence referring to Canelo as "Cabell" and pretending Golovkin was broken down old man.
He has six fights ahead of him , so we will see exactly how good he still is. The Vanes fight showed he wasn't all that different to his pre-Canelo days.
Fanaticals will never acknowledge that looking slow might have had something do do with him sharing the ring with a fast hitting elite for the first time in his career.

He's getting too old for slick, mover, types like Andrade,it's probably a bad style match up for him, surprised he wants a third crack at Canelo.

So you're fine with GGG taking on this level opponent?

You can say whatever you want about Charlo or Derevyenchenko or BJ, GGG still wanted nothing to do with them.

Canelo did not fight an entire year and jumped right into the Golovkin fight despite still being NEW at 160.

Then just three months later he moves up to SMW and fights a top 10 titlist.

GGG has now passed up on Ward, BJS, Derevyenchenko, Charlo and Andrade.

He has also has the opportunity to get into negotiations with Jacobs for a rematch, Lara and Trout but refused to even acknowledge them.

Talk about taking the easiest path to success. GGG is a master at it.

Its very difficult to give him a pass.

He's showed he's still good enough but it's a fact that he's a step slower, and he always has his knees taped up,it happens at his age,and iim fine with it as it's just how boxing works,Jacob's told everyone that after seeing what Brook did it gave him confidence, meaning he wouldn't fight him before.

At SMW he's considerably shorter, with a considerable shorter reach, and is outweighed by 10-15 pounds.

I would say he's in a clear PHYSICAL disadvantage.

Sure Fielding wasnt the toughest BUT a lot better then Brandon Adams or Szeremeta

Fielding was a titilist so top 10 at 168 at least

    LMAO.

    1. Why should GGG fight Clenelo twice in his backyard and ducking guys like Charlo or Derevyanchenko? Charlo was exposed badly by Korobov and Derevyanchenko lost to Jacobs fair and square who GGG beat.

    2. Clenelo did not fight an entire year and jumped right into the GGG fight? Yeah, because he was caught cheating with CLEN and was suspended for six months. His own fault. Disgusting cheating piece of cake.

    3. He deserves absolutely ZERO credit for fighting Rocky Fielding ffs. Fielding is barely European level.

    4. I think BJS was the one who ducked GGG for years....

    5. As i said Derevyanchenko and BJS already have fights on the line.

    6. Lara and Trout? LMAO.

    Come back to reality man.

What tape? I never once saw any tape on his knees.
Fact is , many guys have still been elite at 35 years old , Golovkin isn't any different.
Froch knocked out slick mover type Groves at 37 when Groves was in his 20's. GGG became old and past it as soon as he fought Canelo. Its an excuse , nothing more.

course I accept that,Canelo was bloody marvellous and showed his class but any way you care spin it,there's still a big age difference.

If GGG fights a live body and gets beat more clearly than the way Canelo beat him then it diminishes Canelos win greatly. Fight him next, win a clear decision and looks great on the resume

check him out in the gym he's a!ways taped up.
I don't use it as an excuse since I had him winning as the majority did, likewise I'm not gonna say Canelo fought Golovkin in his prime as 35yrs of age is not gonna be considered his prime is it?

    Thanks for numbering.

    1. Because boxing is a sport. In sport you get to a level where you compete against the best. Regardless of how you try to justify GGG avoiding the top MWs, the fact remains he avoids them.

    2. Regardless of why Canelo took a year off. Whether a few months suspension and or Knee surgery, it doesn't change the fact that he jumped right in to fight Golovkin in his first fight back.

    3. Get a grip bro. No one is giving Canelo much credit. Alls it is that Canelo moved up in weight to a fight a considerably larger man who was top 10 in his division and held a version of the WBA.. Get this, JUST 3 months after beating GGG.

    4. BJS may have refused GGG at one point, but when BJ was ready and they were in talks GGG didn't have the cojones to be his own man and fight him.

    5. Derevyenchenko was GGGs mandatory. Golovkin DUCKED him and as a result got stripped. BJS was ready to fight him last year but GGG backed away from potential talks.

    6. You lol @ Lara and Trout.. Did you LOL @ Vanes, Brook, Wade, Monroe, or Rubio.

Fact is GGG doesn't have those two top quality fighters on his record, he has those other guys.

    Welcome to reality bro.

Canelo's knees were tapped up in his last 2-3 fight. Has nothing to do with age.

GGG was prime enough , and still lost the rematch. Majority opinion is for sheep. Majority opinion had Pacquaio beating Horn , simply because everybody believed Horn would be a Pac win before hand.
