Great video as always and good take on Canelo's career post Floyd.

We may not always see eye to eye on Canelo but I respect your opinion and criticism of Canelo because you're a true fan of boxing.

Good take. The rehydration clauses and short notice fights could also be added to the list of legitimate criticism. I think he would have beaten Jacobs, Kova and Smith anyhow, but it does cheapen the victories. And I think it's a shame that such a superb fighter leaves a tarnish like that on his legacy. But that's the nature of boxing today, unfortunately.

Was Leonard the one that started this to a degree?

I could have beat Canelo at that catchweight.

Classic Floyd heavy A-side BS. The same BS Canelo pulls currently. Canelo on that horsemeat though, Floyd was just on IV bags.

The only advantages Canelo held were his strength, physicality and power. Things Floyd is great at nullifying. Floyd didn't even need to nullify it though, he let the weight do that.

Was there a rehydration clause also?

Great video rums. The only thing that i can criticize about Canelo over the years were the 155 pound catch weights, other than that he's been on a heck of a run, since losing to Floyd. But who am I, just an ESB poster who DKSAB.

Floyd was never dumb enough to put himself into such a compromising situation. Canelo´s team actually proposed the catchweight. They then cried about it.

Another great watch. In your opinion what victories would it take for Canelo to surpass Floyd in greatness?

155 is not even a big deal. His fights at 155 were Non-title fights. Having a non-title fight a pound over the limit is very common. Even GGG has fought above 160 at least 3-4 times throughout his career.

Furthermore, the two title fights Canelo did have at 155 were stipulations that Cotto and Khan insisted on, and as Rummy said, neither Khan or Cotto were real MWs so it benefited them.

I hope this information cleara things up.

Very well executed Rummy!! Taken into account the small flaws that only a die hard fan can identify, like a fine jeweler, Canelo is the face of boxing today.

I dislike his tactics and dirty games but dude is still an animal. I feel he did the 175 fight as a one time only because even Big Red knows he is a little man in that pond.

Good to see him cleaning up a division @168 when it just seems like yesterday he was crying he was not a true MW:stirrpot.

His resume on paper is beyond impressive, jeweler eyes know the flaws, and he will continue to make keen chess moves throughout his career.
After 168 would love to see him test himself once again at 175 on an even playing field :ggg

I have been impressed with his performances as well, and also agree there are legitimate criticisms over the years.

How about the two positive tests for Clenbuterol in preparation for his rematch with Golovkin?

Accusations of PED use is one thing (May-Pac), but two actual positive tests (VADA) and a NSAC suspension is another.

A definite stain on his protected career.

The main thing in Rumsfield's video I disagreed on was that the Mayweather-Canelo fight was one-sided.
My opinion is that the first fight of the fight was one-side, but the second half of it I thought Canelo won more rounds than Mayweather did.
Not suprising from my perspective that it happened that way in that a still maturing Canelo had never faced a fighter as quick and as sharp as Mayweather, but once he got acclamated to it, Canelo got continously better round after round, again not suprising since Canelo was the bigger fighter and Mayweather to me was less sharp the second half of the fight.
Today's Canelo is certainly a much better fighter. The knowleadge Canelo has today in the body of the Canelo who fought Mayweather is a different outcome.

You need to get it clear that it was really one positive test for Clenbuterol, the second positive test was the same clenbuterol that had'nt left Canelo's system that he tested positive for the first test.
Example, if a fighter tests positive today for a PED and you test him again tommorow or even the next day, guess what????
Exactly, he more than likely will test positive again the drugs having yet not left his system.
