Here they are: Canelo: 1/10 Smith: 6/1 and: GGG: 1/7 Brook: 9/2 Now everyone is saying that GGG-Brook is a terrible fight while Canelo-Smith is acceptable. Why do the bookmakers think GGG-Brook is more competitive? Or have they got it wrong? My personal opinion is that Brook should be out at 10/1, and I'd put Smith at 4/1 or 5/1 (even though I don't rate him much).
I thought the odds would be flip-flopped, honestly. Canelo was -500 to beat Khan, for another reference.
no.. i would agree with these odds. smith def has no chance with canelo but brook does have a chance with ggg i guess only people who really understand the game see that
Ultimately, these are a measure of betting patterns. Given that GGG usually has a ton of money coming in on him (and the odds are extremely wide as a result), Brook having these odds is an indicator that a lot of money is backing him. :good
Because both GG and brooks are unproven Who knows what clownery will occur when those two get together
