I didn't watch it. Lots of posters on Reddit seem to be crying foul play though. They're saying he was on the scale for all of 3 seconds and jumped off to start gulping down water. Any truth in this?
We might be related Lep, my sister is deep into genealogy and has thoroughly researched our whole family tree, I'll get the rundown from her and PM you a list of all the Brit and Irish names we have in it, which are a lot. You never know.
Much as I enjoy some parts of Reddit it's boxing fanbase is not one that I would give much credence too. Anyway, Oscar was accused of this back in the day... same weigh in on a card with Gatti I believe, who also had a weight ballooning event against Gamache.
i dont really know but he did strip quick and jumped on the scale right away they announced the weight within seconds

I brought it up on reddit... Weigh in looked dodgy...usually have two commision dudes protecting the scales instead they had a dodgy looking bloke behind Canelo whilst his team surrounded the scales (hiding his winky) Was a digital scale and Smith had a member of his team watching the readout and he had no issues but meh was abit fast. All it takes is to zero off the scale incorrectly super easy to fix.
