GGG would only go to 154 for a Mayweather or Pacquiao as opposed to Canelo. Another example of how people take fighters' interviews too seriously. Fighters say **** all the time, especially when they "call out" opponents after a fight, and for some reason, boxing fans get excited and act like it means a lot. I mean we've already seen numerous times how money, greed, ego, and politics prevent or postpone fights from happening while they are negotiating, and yet people still take a fighter's words so seriously. It's funny how people will use a "call out" during an interview as "proof" that so and so ducked/didn't duck/tried to make a fight happen. How ignorant are these MFers?

But in regards to being weight drained, well why wouldn't anyone be worried about that? I don't want to see any fighter being a zombie in there, especially a highly anticipated fight like this.

canelo can drop the belt and then he will absolutely not fight ggg.......so ggg can have the belt and be in the same boat as he was the day before...aka not having a big fight....

Let's include full quotes, please. He's said specifically he won't fight Canelo at 155 because Canelo is a big dude, and GGG knows it'd just be to drain him. He thinks he could still knock Mayweather out even if he has to starve himself which is why he's willing to go down to that weight for him. Canelo is different. The dude would rehydrate to LHW.
