You say this but what welterweight, let alone light HW, has the constant lateral movement that Usyk does...
Do I think Canelo would fight Usyk for the right money? Yes. Do I think he stands a chance at all? No. He has the balls to do it. Just gets schooled is all.
He didn't fight the real Kovalev He knew he couldn't win & even laughed & scoffed at the people that gave him a chance. He took the $$$ & rode away
If Canelo had the balls of a champion he'd have accepted a fair fight against GGG years ago & not let corruption get the "winning " decisions for him. Canelo's just like Floyd was He lacks the balls a REAL champion needs to succeed so he sold his soul to the devil in Vegas
At one time I think Canelo really thought he’d have a chance against Usyk but Bivol put an end to that. If Bivol was too big, Usyk would be an even bigger mismatch. Bivol wouldn’t consider Usyk and he’s a better fighter than Canelo. I hate this weight class jumping nonsense. Just fight guys your own size. Mikey Garcia wasted the last couple years of his career doing this type of thing. It’s not daring to be great when you have zero chance. That Spence Garcia fight was a joke.
Love to see the fight but you can't handicap the HW champion. If Canelo can come up as close to 200lbs as possible and fight Usyk with no draining cruiser weight of light heavy stipulations then go for it. If he's just trying to BS us with mentioning Usyk just for the fun of it, then **** off.
Canelo would be a huge, huge underdog, he literally has no way of winning. He isn't out boxing Usyk and he doesn't have the power to hurt him. Only way he doesn't get shut out is if Usyk takes a round or two off at the start to gauge Canelo and chances are he gets stopped for the first time. But have to admire the mindset of Canelo, it's why he's reached the top of his sport, you have to have that winner's mentality, that no matter the odds he can find a way to win.
