Still it's an impressive feat, it shows the kind of condition Canelo was in to do that and still perform like that round after round. If it was so easy to do that, then why don't other fighters stand up between every round? Foreman did it because he had bad knees and with all that weight, it would have sapped him of his energy to sit down every round then get up. Also Foreman lounged between rounds on the ropes, Canelo didn't lean on the ropes aside from a few arm stretches. Canelo was fresh as a daisy, it was really cool to see someone do that while handling a guy two weight classes above you over 12 rounds. Just goes to show the level of stamina Canelo has is off the charts.

Dude..I'm just going by what I've read in the RBR. That Jr looked like a weight drained zombie in there.

He weighed in at 164. They were both SMWs in there tonight.

The punch stats were way of the charts. Canelo landed more jabs than Jr landed total punches.

Canelo outclassed a B/C level fighter who has done nothing the last 4-5 years. And had to drain down lower than he has in years.

A big, fat heavyweight named George Foreman stood between rounds against everyone. I was impressed when Big George did it, not so much when a 26 year old does it fighting another easy fight

That's quite a comparison. To state a fact then have it compared to Jonestown. I'm left speechless . . .

Uh no. Lee, Rubio, etc... were legit knockout power guys. And a drained Chavez laughed at their punches, but he admitted (in spanish) that Canelo's punches were to strong and didn't want to get hit with them.

Triple G couldn't believe it when he saw Canelo standing up every round. Canelo's stamina is just otherworldly.

I doubt your left speechless shadow.
It was a bad fight the moment GBP inked it and it lived up to expectations by all acounts. Winning that wide and standing all night only punctuates the mismatch and reeks of contempt in fans minds - not inspiring themes to the public. I only blame Canelo for dancing GBP's tune - I understand it, there's millions at stake and no-one is going to look after you when your finished but sheet.

Canelo has great stamina and endless gastank, so he doesn’t have to sit between rounds

Jnr imo had to use something artificial to make weight,he’d been drained to the point where he couldn’t put anything back on,clever so and so that Oscar.
Should add that I don’t think it would make a difference what ever weight he was.

Look it wouldn’t of made any difference what weight he came in at such was the disparity in skill but really Shadow the whole point of having catch weights is to gain an advantage just like Floyd did with Canelo.
Catchweights are always set by the A side team, heck theyed even threatened Jnr with big fines for being a pound over so let’s not pretend this was done to be fair to both sides as Jnr looked awful weeks before the fight, let alone on the night.

it avoids restrictions to the cardiovascular system which could cool muscles too quickly, maybe theyve been having issues with cramping of leg muscles before and wanted to avoid them.

Showed how that fight was more in the imagination of the fans than what Canelo and Oscar thought.Canelo clearly knew how big the gap was between em.

I think everyone but casual Mexican fans(basically the main fanbase that they targeted) knew it would be a one sided beat down. Chavez Jr's style is already awful against Canelo but the mother****er tried to box lmao and use his length. It was embarrassing. Credit to him for going 12 though.
